I want to know because I recently restarted my pilot file and decided to get on good terms with the I-Strand. But what is it like? I assume it gives you access to their technology like the other strand strings.
I would also like to know where you get the "Push back the Voinian Empire" string.

I think it starts with destruction of the dreadnought, then finding the Emalgha, and on and on from there.
The Igadzra string is awesome You get the SAI's and the Plasma Siphon (one of the best weapons in the game) and the Igadzra and.. and.. really no good technology at all, but go for it, it's a fun string.

The Vionian string begins when you rescue the Vionian Defector and bring him to Luna or Earth.
Personally, I hate the Igazdra string. Their technology is great but they leave all the fighting up to you. You have to kill huge task forces all by yourself, I hated that

At the end of the Igazdra string you get to buy Igazras. That alone makes doing the string worthwhile. That ship rocks. The plasma siphon is usefull against Azdaras, but once you have 5 phase cannons on an Igazra, you don't really need one.

Its best to capture an Igadzra (which is easy) before you start the string.

The UE Cruiser captures everything (almost) at 75 percent. When you get a one that's nicely upgraded, go into Igadzra space and disable, plunder, capture every igazra you see. Each has around 500,000 credits. Therefore, I have like 25 million credits and 6 igazra escorts which is the max. Then I got bored and started a new game.
