This is my first time actually playing through accepting missions from UE in EVO. So far I have finished building Paaren Station, rescued the voinian deflector, then the second time (where you have to escort him), then I destroyed the dreadnaught (with no thanks to those lame 3 ships they sent with me who died within 2 seconds), and now i'm stuck, i forget where I really am, i know is South, and I have done 1/2 of a multi-part mission. I had to investigate some renegades (actually militia), then found out there was a spaceport on this otherwise empty planet, then delivered the spy to the spaceport. Now the Admiral tells me i have to go rescue him from suchandsuch planet, but when I get there some shady guy hands me documents, and the spy is nowhere to be found. so i take the documents back instead and they don't even talk to me. then my time runs out for the mission. So what is it i'm supposed to do?

ok, nevermind, i completed it. but if anyone else had the same problem, you just need to do it really fast, take the shortest route and avoid any and all fights. i mean jump, jump land, jump, jump, and land and hopefully you'll have done it fast enough. if you time runs out just abort the mission and go back to the bar and they will give it to you again.
Welcome to the boards hand of g0d!
I find that, though it makes the amount of time you actually sit at the computer longer, fuel scoops can be very helpful during rush missions. If you land that uses up days like crazy, but if you just float around and refuel, you can get there few days earlier.

i wasn't landing to refuel, the ship i had i think had 6 or 7 jumps on it so that wasn't the problem. I think it was you have to leave the planet as SOON as you pick him up. Thanks anyway though.
No prob. It's been a while since I ran that mission so I wasn't sure how many jumps there are. Wish you good luck though.
