More specifically, forge leaves his name uncapitalized out of respect for the dead, and asks that when people write his name, that they show the same respect. It's an issue that is constantly blown out of proportion, simply because people are too proud to comply with a simple request.

Indeed, same deal with my name, only the opposite; people just assume that I've been accidently holding down the shift key too long for the past 6 or so years. I haven't been. The "EV" does have a certain significance, and no, it has absolutely nothing to do with the game. I've "had" EV longer than Ambrosia has, so :p.

I've learned from past mistakes that closing a topic, even if it seems that it is finished, is not the best policy. Topics die on their own, I see no need to close it myself.

Perhaps andrew should put up an extra webboard guideline, warning of immediate death and destruction of anyone who spells forge's username with any uppercase letters.

It probably doesn't surprise you to know that I've thought about suggesting that to him. It'd save me a lot of hassle since I could just slap them around for violating the guidelines no ifs, ands, or buts.

Actually, I did read some of the guidelines before posting here. I was also one of the lucky newbies who saw forge ripping up someone else for capitalizing his name before I tried to post it.

Yeah, I just blew right by them. It wasn't intentional, and even though there's signs to read them stuck almost everywhere I just didn't notice them. Oops. That's ok though, I used one of the links and read them well. Boy, goes to show you what kind of taboo a topic like this is, seeing as how many responses there were. Sorry about that, it was post #1 for me. Oh and I posted it in here (not knowing at the time) because I figured that this was where most of the people were. If I have any questions like this in the future I'll use the Help Is On The Way board. And sorry Colours if I made you angry or anything.
