Hey I was wondering if anyone thinks I, (or someone else) should make an Episode 1-2 oriented SW plugin. The current one was fun, and the other ones arent coming out for EVO, so if anyone thinks it could be good, or has some ideas, or would like to help, tell me
P.S. Tell me if you dont think Episodes 1-2 would be practical for use with EVO...

I dont know..
I have some advice. Only make a plug in when your positive the movie supplies enough variations in weapons and ship designs. One star wars plug-in (that i know of) would have been good, but the author decided to add two or three ships to add spunk tothe plug. They were perfectly balanced, and fit in perfectly- the only problem, the star wars buffs complained that it was inaccurate, and the downloads stopped.
I would help, but im busy with a report and high school junk. I'll help you learn the ropes in ResEdit, but thats about all i can do. Good luck, and I'll be glad to beta test it.

EVO is 8-bit (256 colors), but EVN is 16-bit (thousands of colors).

I think you should probably hold off on making an Episode II plug-in until the movie comes out.
I thought Nova was 16-bit (or whatever thousands of colors is). 32 bit would be even better, though; one of the few times where I hope I'm wrong.

Yeah, you're right. I just checked the upcoming page, and it say that Nova is 16-bit right there.
Well, your right, but, ive decided not to do episode 2 until the movie has come out AND obviously Nova has as well, so, its like a warmup for me... I will as much as I can in missions that relate to Episode I. I haven't started on the missions yet, but ive got the opening music, titles and such pretty much done, and the starting planet, Coruscant. Planet Forge doesnt work on my computer, is there any other program that is good for making planets or should I use photoshop. (Despite it only being 256 colors)
over and out.

My stomach turns everytime I see this, cuz I think some other poor persin is gonna get it. Honestly, I don't know. I would think Photoshop would work pretty well. Possibly smashing some simple Bryce models might work, too?

A lot more is out there other than the movies. I have thought about how COOL it would be to make something that tied into other parts of the universe - such as the X-Wing Or Rogue Squadron missions. It's just a thought.
That would be tough, Jivaro, because flaming Star Wars nerds like myself would rip you apart if you got the slightest thing incorrect. Just kidding, man, but since it is such a detailed universe, it would be hard to get all the stuff correct, which is always a problem using pre-existing characters and universes.
I can't help thinking that an SW Episode I plug would have to be pretty darn short, given that a LOT of the movie doesn't take place in outer space. Lets review.....
-Jedi arrive at TF station, get attacked -Jedi flee to Naboo -Jedi & company leave Naboo, end up at Tatooine -Go from Tatooine to Coruscant -Go from Coruscant to Tatooine, blow away the Trade Federation base.
That's about it.....several travel trips, one space battle. I don't see how its possible to simulate any of the other action; the pod race, lightsaber battles, etc.
I could be wrong, but I don't know if one can really make a worthwile plug out of so little material. Even the universe would be hard to craft, since Episode I gives us very little information about the state of the galaxy back then. So that would be guesswork, to an extent.
The best SW plug is good because its based on many Star Wars books; there's lots of material to draw from there. But with Episode I, the scenario is actually rather limited in scope.
That's just my take, however. If you think you can make something good, go for it.
