Anybody know of any good Mac emulators

Well folks, I never thought this would happen, but it has. When I go off to college this coming summer, I will be leaving my Mac behind and taking a PC with me, there is no other way b/c the server on the capus doesn't want to communicate w/ Macs and besides, most of the software I'll be needing is PC exclusive. But I have NO intention of not continuing to play and develop for EV/O/N. So my question is, what good quality Mac emulators are out there for PCs at reasonable prices? I appreciate any and all help given. Thx.

Cheers,

The only ones for a reasonably price is Fusion (I think it is free from emulators inc) and Basilisk II, but for these two, the fact they are free is the only thing going for them. Softmac Demo has a lot of trouble running EV and EVO, but they have a new version out, which might be better but is $200US <EDIT>its $65 for a student</EDIT>. Softmac is useful for making plugs. The best one for EV/EVO is Executor from (url="http://"http://www.ardi.com")Here(/url) which costs $150US. Probably cheaper to buy a mac, eh?

Also, no emulator at the moment will run EVN (unless they change their minds and release it in 68K, not likely)

Another thing, this isn't really what should be on the developers board 😉

This is not a reason to degrade yourself by puchasing a P.o.C
All you need are two apps.
OSX 10.1-Acts as both a WIn NT/Unix and Apple servers/clients.
VPC- for when you have to run a PC app

However if you feel that absolutley need a PC, (url="http://"http://www.AmbrosiaSW.com/webboard/Forum58/HTML/000214.html")Executor should do the job for the old ones(/url) but I don't think it will run Nova.

Yeah, I could probably do that, BUT, just SHOW me that most of the major CAD software for engineers is available in its latest form for the mac. see, I'll be majoring in electrical engineering, and the engineering world is a PC world unfortunately. I've fought long and hard over getting a Mac for college, but the fact remains that I can't AND study what I want to, the two are just incompatable. So they better make a good Mac emulator that can run Nova till I can get enough money together once I'm in college to buy something like 500 Mhz iMac or something relatively cheap and fast enough.

Wrong board I think. You may be developing plugins but this isn't a question about them. So I'm going to throw this at the EVO board (it's the highest traffic) and see who answers it there.

Moved.
