Activity around Kayia was dizzying, to say the least. Dozens of ships were constantly flying to and fro, Kayan, Miranu, Federation, Kisani, and many other races. Kayan scientists were working closely with the Miranu to try and develop water purification technology capable of filtering out the pollutants in the seas of Miranu worlds. It was a daunting task, but they were confident that they could do it given enough time and effort. In the meantime, the Kayans were reveling in the joy of being home once again, visiting their old hometowns, or visiting the memorial that some of them had even helped construct, just days before their abrupt departure six years ago.
There was a visible sense of high morale about the whole system, something that hadn't been seen in a long time.

OOC: Just note Thunder that the waters of Mira are polluted by; wreckage, garbage, rotting junk (bodies, fish, etc.), oil, radioactive material, and just about every other concievable icky stuff that you can think of. But, the garbage part is easy to get rid of, so your water purification thing will still be quite useful in the success of the terraforming project.
On other, more serious matters, I would like to ask everyone to continue to pray and hope for those killed, injured, and missing in the terrorist attack upon the World Trade Center in New York. I don't know anyone who has died in the attack, but I know many other people who have lost friends and loved ones in the attack. I would also like to note that I am now dedicating Golden Horizon to the thousands of people killed in this horrible act of violence. God bless America (and Great Britain, taking SilverDragon into mind ).

Sweat began to trickle down Tach'usds back. She had to fight the truth serium, she couldn't tell the Federation about the chaos the Edien Empire was going through at the moment. Information like that could lead to an even greater diaster.
As time wore on, and the minutes ticked away, Tach'usd became extremely fidgety. Fifteen minutes had passed. "Okay, Admiral, time to tell us what you know."
"What were you doing with the Kisani?" The interrogator asked slowly.
Tach'usd opened her mouth, tried to stop herself, but continued. "They are part of my mission from the previous Emperor. They were supposed to infiltrate security and give you hints on our new construction project on our border with Federation space."
"And what is that construction project?" The Federation soldier asked her.
Clenching her teeth, Tach'usd belatedly answered the Question. "The Ediens are constructing a jumpgate in a nearby system. It is a part of former Emperor Rigadaz's, and our current Emperor, Grunadulater's master plan. I am not aware of the other parts of the plan." she said, now extremely upset with herself for revealing the information so quickly.
"Why do you keep calling Rigadaz Former Emperor?" The interrogator asked.
"Ly'rak, Grathon, Grunadulater and myself organized a scheme to abduct Rigadaz. We were tired of his inability to win against you pathetic idiots. As far as I am aware, it succeeded. However, many strange things happened before the commension of our mission. Ly'rak would hold frequent private meetings with Rigadaz, and the Emperor himself actually decreased his own security. But nevertheless, he has been captured." Tach'usd blurted out, now aparently trying to harm herself.
"Well, President Carnotaur will appreciate all this information, Admiral." The Interrogator said, a large grin on his face. ĀĀĀĀĀĀĀĀĀĀĀĀĀĀĀĀĀĀĀĀĀĀĀ General Kli'cyeg surveyed the wreckage. It was worse than he had possibly imagined. The landscape of Edien Prime lay before him, scattered with debris. Large buildings had collapsed, and the bodies of Ediens lay around, unmoving and rotting slowly.
"Who did this?" Kli'cyeg asked in utter horror.
"Unknown sir, But we believe several terrorist cells are believed to be responsible, following the chaos of Rigadaz's abduction."
"We must extract retribution, and then we must rebuild. In the mean time, order an emergency meeting of the remaining members of the Military council."
"Yes sir!" the young officer said, before turning around and sending messages to all council members.

SilverDragon's fleet took one last charge against the Akrahd horde, one defining assualt.
Defining, indeed. With their heavy frontal weaponry, an Igadzra fleet in charge was a deadly weapon.
Too deadly a weapon for the Akrahd mass.
Weapons blazing, the Igadzra force went in one side with 70 ships, came out the other with only 30 battered vessels, mainly Igazras and a few Igaras.
The Akrahd fleet, however, had been decimated, a few smaller ships still remaining, their choice to stay and fight or run stolen from them when the remaining Igadzra leapt out, to return battered to their homeworlds after so much fighting...
...and at this time, the Azdgari reinforcements came into Igadzra space, to be informed over comm.link by SilverDragon that perhaps they could help with another purpose...
- - -
We are more than shells, we are more than minds. We are the Igadzra.
------------------ That's all very nice, but where are the guns? - SilverDragon
SilverDragon returned to Cerberus, and to the Gateway, to find a present waiting for him.
The research on the Igazrada had finally been finished, after many long weeks of work. The first one would be built now, but their were no estimates on the time it would take (Carno?)
Looking over the plans, SilverDragon smiled. Once five or so of these vessels had been made, they would be able to move into Akrahd space - with Azdgari support of course - and crush it.
Now, the Igadzra turned their research to something else.
Phase weaponry was old, and it's firepower couldn't stand up to that of more powerful vessels. However, no "new" types of weapons were available, so a different plan would be executed.
Phase batteries would be upgraded, as would Phase cores and routers. The project result of this upgrade - the ability to handle phase bolts with greater charge. And thus, Operation Turbophase had begun, and hopefully the result would be a marked increase in the power of Igadzra Union weaponry.

Psack Nelson entered the command center of the S.S.S. Savior. Everyone was enjoying the moment of navigation they were having since they hadn't move for the last two months, something they had never did before. They were heading towards the end of the Voinians frontier, where they entered the Milky Way. He spoke again with his councellors, knowing that they were once again living alone. it didn't bottered him at all, national administrative business was already a lot. Everyone agreed that to live inside a country was not a good idea. (I wouldn't like to live in Swasiland, stuck in South Africa). Even if they were escorted by an Voinian fleet, no Sladerei seemed to be bottered, the fleet was a compact block. It was a formation they used to surprise ennemies, 4 fighter cruising thightly could easely pass for two, they would then emerge and fire all their weapons.
On the engineer side, the particule scoope was at an experimental state of developping on a freighter. To help to Slederei nation, hundreds on them would have to be used. During their alt in the Voinian space, the sladerei merchants, under the control of the government, bought for 300 tons of voinian energy capaciator. They would have normaly been used to fit the voinian merchant navy, as shield capaciators, but the government accepted to sell them to the mechanical section of the Bureau of Knowledge. This section is specialized in energy, motorisation and robotic systems.

OOC: Just on a note (I'm just a writer) I'd like to say that's a mediocre entry at the most. It's a very short action post, without much care into making it legible. Plus, although I don't know the situation I'd say the tech part was wild - for one, you're working on three projects, for another, this "Classified" might need to be moderated on when you finish it, then you've wasted your time. You have contacted Carno about it, haven't you?
Sorry to say all this, but if Golden Horizon has a conversion to a story, your posts are really going to make that difficult.
Edien captain Gravok looked at the map. While the bulk of his fleet skirmished with the Feds, distracting them, Gravok and a group of three other battleships and five destroyers had been able to sneak into Federate space and were now heading towards Akreyhek. Though Gravok knew they would have to retreat quickly, it would be a major blow to Fed morale.
Hyperspacing into the Akreyhek system, Gravok was astonished to find that there were not many Federate ships in the system. He did detect, however, some unusual looking ships that the Ediens had never seen before. Gravok just assumed they were a new species, and decided to attack them. "Danimoth, Warbinger, and Soran, assault the alien vessels head on! Beat up the large, unarmed ones as much as you can! All destroys, move into a flanking position, and led them have it!"
The Edien battlecruisers charged valiantly forward, opening fire on the unsuspecting Commonwealth ships as the Destroyers moved in from the side and began to pump fire into the fleet...
Dran smiled grimly at the 'sneak' attack. Hitting his com link he said, "To both colony ships, perform atmoshperic descent now. Fighters, engage those smaller ships and the fighter squadrons. Warships fall into postion and attack those...ugly looking things. Fire up disruptors and and fire all twelve forward batteries. My mark...now!"
The Edien commander would've been surprised even if he had known the capabilties of an Commonwealth colony ship. Both of them were close to the atmosphere, which would give them the advantage; the bulky ships chasing them were too heavy for any true atmosphereic flight. With amazing speed for ships their size the Colony ships bursted down into Kayia's atmosphere, firing their few disruptor turrets at the frigates. Twelve fighters headed for the Edien frigates and soon overwhelmed them with disruptor cannon fire and missile fire. The colony ships soon made it to the surface in an unscheduled landing.
Dran however was busy deciding on what to do. 20 fighters engaged the 18 Edien interceptors and that left three of the most advanced Commonwealth ships to beat up on ships of equal firepower. "Helm report! How fast can we put space between those drakes and us? And tell me it's good."
The helmsman looked at him and said, "Our carrier can macth their speed while we can go twice theirs. Orders, sir?"
"Order the Deai to break off and head for the planet. Those draken fighters won't be able to follow suit with our boys at their throats. As for us and the carrier Behon, turn one eighty and fire at will. Target the lead...ugly thing. Fire at will, weaps."
That was all the orders given as one of the three warships, a cruiser broke off and headed for Kayia. At that, the other two turned around and for the first time since their short arrival to this galaxy, opened fire on the Edien BCs with all firepower pumping.
Arik observed the picture and it seemed a bit odd to him. He seemed to get something when he saw the two colony ships descend. He threw the picture down and tapped his link. "Report colony ship Jaelei. Why have you landed." When he heard the response, he looked at Scorcher and said, "Looks like your war is ours now, Admiral. Does your planet have a defense fleet ready to scramble and planetary weapons grid powered?"
A jump point opened up in the Kayia system and from it came six warships, all Kiran. Four were Blade warships and two were Kiran Lazrias. They had just returned from a patrol and were looking forward to seeing Kayia. Unfourtuantely, they saw the Edien ships assualting unknown silver-like ships. The commander of the fleet shook his head and just said, "All Kiran ships, looks like our offtime is canceled for the moment. Engage all Edien warships and dislodge fighters. Fire at will."
With that the Kiran ships screamed towards the Edien intruders with all intent of destruction. The Blades reached the battlecruisers while the two Lazrias reached the frigates, and all opened fire upon the Ediens...

-What, screemed Psack, they are Fuduldully blocking us, forbidding us to hyperjump. - Yes mister, said the comm mister. They are keeping us by doing the deep encirclement manoeuver , mister. They are forcing us to fly towards the planet so we cannot hyper. -Well, comm mister, I will certain have a talk with this fleet commander of my four eyes. The liberty of the Sladerei cannot be compromised. Are you ready. -Yes mister. -Voinian fleet commander, this is the Sladerei leader, Nelson Psack. Why the Fuduldle are you keeping us from our destiny, liberty. -Mister Psack, it is my supreme honorable emperor that requestes that you do not ecape. He will accept a last chance meeting if you council accept that the Sladerei fleet comes back to Voinia. -On what bases can I be assured that if we come back to your capital, we will have a even or better treatment. Until I can have a videoconference with Nova6, we will stand still ,here, in the Priatt system. Then, we will move to Voinia, depending of what we can agree on. -I think that you have done the right thing mister Psack. -Shall you treat a Diplomat in gentlemen, good manners aren,t part of your soul.

-They realy are a pain in the ass those Voinians said, a fleet tactician. -Can you just shut up, they will not annihilate us, we will bend as a leaf does, not break like a mable. -Right mister, we will bend.
Nelson requested to his tacticians to analyse those voinians with all passive scanners abnd try to break those communication codes. Knowledge is power.
Fleet Admiral Nahar shook his head. "I'm sorry. My orders are strict. However, in the interests of peace, I will have Nova6 come to the Grenits system, where he can meet with you. Besides, this system is off limits to all non-Voinian and non-Federation ships. Does this sound good?"

The interrogator looked at the data pad taken from Ly'rak, and then told the Voinian lieutenant to bring it to the intellegence section. Then he looked back at Ly'rak. He thought for a moment. "Lieutenant, set up a comlink with Colonel Derrivel, on S-570. I want to speak with him concerning prisoners."
Within a few minutes, Derrivel was talking with the interrogator, who got right to the point. "I want to know whether you want us to send Admiral Ly'rak over to you, or if you want to send Admiral Tach'usd over to us."
Derrivel responded immediately. "Actually, it's a good thing you brought up that. It appears that the truth syrum we injected Tach'usd with is working perfectly. So, I think we'll be able to get Ly'rak to talk. Send him over immediately."
The interrogator nodded, cut the comlink, and ordered Ly'rak loaded up onto a Voinian cruiser and taken to S-570 immediately.
OOC: I cleared this with Carno, just in case you were wondering.

The Edien commander gripped his chair and ordered the Edien battlecruisers to assault the colony ships directly while the destroyers (plus 3 more destroyers which had just arrived as backup) kept the warships and carriers busy. Charging forward, the Ediens unleashed their high-powered ion beams, which caused massive damage to the colony ships.
------------
Scorcher immediately had his defense fleet scramble, but unfortunately, the defense cannon matrix for Kayia had been temporarily disabled pending a major maintainence repair on the grid. It would take half an hour to power it back up. Not only that, but the defense fleet would take time to launch. The pilots had not been expecting that the Ediens could puncture the defense line, and they had just been informed that all was safe and that the Federation had just stationed more ships around the perimeter.
Carnotaur picked up his communicator and listened to a quick report from Scorcher. He turned to Thunder and Rima. "Well, we must leave now. The Ediens are attacking, and I have a lot of other stuff to get done."
And then, suddenly, in a flash of light, everything disappeared and Thunders eyes jolted open as he looked around. He looked up and saw a Federation lieutenant operating a piece of machinery. The chair that he was in (which was at a horizontal angle) shifted position to a more angled placement to allow Thunder to get up and out of the chair. Thunder looked around and saw Rima and Carnotaur also being disconnected. He also saw a fourth chair, presumably for Scorcher which had left a while back.
Thunder looked at Carnotaur. "How do they hook us up to those things?"
Carnotaur pointed out some parts of the chairs. "This thing, which looks kinda like the letter 'C', hooks onto your neck. That's the only real thing that connects you to the Network. Of course, your arms and legs are restrained as well, but that's pretty much it."

ooc: Because my posts were so infrequent I'm pretending that I actually built more ships than I was going too. I have Carno's permission for this.
Rima looked around the room and noted the details. Then she sighs and sends for someone to give her reports. A messanger comes in and she reads the reports of the ships she has. She blinked in surprise. Obviously the Federation shipyards worked fast. She now had 70 ships. They had 20 freighters and 50 other ships mixed, including many Miranu Warcraft and some ships had been outfitted with the new weapon.
Rima glances over at Carnotaur. "If you need some help in fighting the Ediens I have about 50 fighting ships and and 20 freighters which can transport people and items. It's not much but it's something. My ships will follow yours into battle anytime you want." She shrugs and then sends a message back to some people to continue working.

Carnotaur smiled. "That's good to hear, but actually, I had another idea; going back to Mira."
Rima's face instantly brightened at the news. "How soon till we can leave?"
"Relatively soon, unfortunately, I'd much rather wait till the Ediens are gotten rid of, they're raiding this system right now. Once their done, and a few upgrades have been completed on the Red October, we can go."
When the delivery boy knocked at Psack's door, Nelson was taking a relaxing sesion in his personal wave chamber. The boy let the message in the "mail" box. Five minutes later, Nelson was in the control room. Then he sat and asked to mistrer Comm to get a communication with fleet commannder sitting in his chair a few thousand kilometers away. -Ready mister. -I am Nelson Psack, member of the Sladerei community. As a solidarity, we accept to follow your fleet to the Grenits system to have a meeting. We are ready to go as soon as your engines have warm-up. Ours are pretty good at starting in a matter of minutes, not that we are ready, but a little commercial demonstration is always useful when engagements can be done in a near future. A wish to us a good hyperjourney to Grenits.
Where are my knowledgeble diplomats. We have to write a good speach and good greetings, again...
The five unknown Kiran ships decided on doing something rather foolish. Three of the Blade cruisers rammed straight into the three Edien battlecruisers with weapons firing. The fourth one hurtled across into an Edien destroyer while the two Lazrias rammed into the last two destroyers. The Kiran fighters did like wise and hurled themselves into the Edien BCs as well.
"What the drake was that?," shouted Dran as he wacthed the vessels ram into the unknown ships. Whatever it was could wait until later. "Weapons, fire a full spread of missiles and fire all disruptor beams and turrets on my mark. Mark!"
The Commonwealth cruiser fired with all her glory on the lead battlecruiser while the carrier opened fire on another BC. Time to show their mettle...
The Edien commander, seeing that these new aliens, whoever they were, were quite power finally made up his mind about his fate. Instead of going down in a massive firefight, the Edien did what Edien battlecruisers did best; ramming other ships.
The last battlecruiser charged ahead, shields gone and armor being battered away. As it began to break up, the rest of the destroyers were destroyed, but not before two of them rammed the other Commonwealth warships. The battlecruiser was going for the carrier.
It was off by 49 feet, which was enough to change dramatically the following events.
The battlecruiser careened into the side of the carrier, tearing a massive, long hole in the side of the ship. However, then the battlecruiser veered off and starting to spin down towards the planet.
The Federation knew it was coming and evacuated everyone near the site of impact. The battlecruiser flew into the ground on the outscirts of the main capitol city on Kayia. Though not many people were killed, many buildings had either been annihilated or heavily damaged. As the Federation work crews began to clean up the mess, Scorcher asked Major Kael if he would like his ships to put into the Federation shipyard on Mavs Station (in the Mavs system) to be repaired.
