Which Giants are Which?

I'm now in the southern region, trying to find access to Reef Island (I'm not real sure one can get there). I've run into Cyclopes (that aren't too bad with enough potion), those "Rock-type" Guys, etc. Then these guys with Horns (they're tough), are those the Sea Giants??? I ran into a Tower that I guess you have to be a Congurer to access, a little village on the west that the people keep telling me to leave them alone and an Old Dwarf that thinks I'm nuts! I sure hope this Elf is almost done having me run around for him... Thanks to all that have helped me along with finding these locations and arming myself better, I appreciate it alot...

If you are in the southern area you are off course for Reefs Island. You can only get to the island from Berglum. Talk to the fisherman - the guy with the boat. Remember where to find the old dwarf down south, you will need him later. I believe the critters you have been having trouble with are Minotaurs, the sea giants are bigger than the cyclops and bright green (edit: Sea Giants are green, not blue as I first posted. They look somewhat like bleached Incredible Hulks - even wear purple clothing.) with spikes sticking out at odd places - and if you get hit by one, you are probably dead. As you guessed, the Mage Tower is accessible only to conjurers (as the Swordman's Guild is to swordsmen and Nohrga Village is to rangers). And Orobas is not quite done with sending you off into danger, but you are nearing the end.

Don't try to enter Gidolan Keep, apparently it's impossible (for the moment). The Ice Giants did that to me too. I ran, and got thru the game anyway. Reading around here it seems like they can be killed tho.

sorry, double post

You've got a long way to go before killing the sea giants .. best to run from them; get armor/equip for speed. I've got strength 40, dex 40, and vit 42; with armor over 100 w/Druidic armor and the wolf claws (as a ranger). I'm able to nail a sea giant 1on1, but any more than 1on1, and they tend to toast me too unless i run away and heal-up with heavy potions. Good luck!

Thanks All.... Yes, I finally realized that I'd need a sailor and thought of him, Julius?? I think is his name. Got the herbs after loading up on a ton of 300 Potions and in the Cave using my cap from the guy at Berglum.

Thanks Much....

Tell him you want to go to Reefs Island (Select that response in the dialog window.) If you have not been given the quest to get the magic herbs or have not researched the herbs and their location at the Learning Tree, the "go to Reefs Island" option will not be available when you speak to Juliar. Also, you will have to complete a quest for Juliar before he will agree to take you to the island.
