I am either really cool or really stupid...

OK, I almost never play EVO, but seeing as how I post here so often I thought I should give it a try. So, I run the program, and I see a box that says, "You have had EVO for 276 days and have used it for 15 hours during that time." Now THAT is pathetic, -seeing how the shareware license clearly states I must register EVO after 30 days-. Anyways, I loaded up a saved game I started called Corey, having no idea where I would turn up. I was doing a small but of exploring since I had never really left the Crescent, and saw a Igazar(?) and a Zidgar fighting. They both got disabled and I sneaked in and stole 600,000+ from the Igazar and 250,000+ from the Zidgar! I am now (almost) a millionare. So, I stumble across Gribn and whatever while trying to do a few missions, and hire as many freighters as I can. Now, I have 1000 cargo space, and go to that other planet, and keep doing the run until I am filthy stinking rich. I know almost nothing about EVO and I am already a major force to be reckoned with since I possess many, many credits. ๐Ÿ˜„

Had to let it out somewhere. Go ahead and flame me now. ๐Ÿ˜‰

Personaly, I don't worry about the number of hours you spend on EVO, they will soon rise when you will discover that cargo lifting is not the most challenging part of the game. With an Arada, even a CF, you can easily have fun and start major dtrings.

Have fun newby gamer ๐Ÿ˜œ

Ahhhhh EVO, I love it so much, all I can say is how the HELL did the Igadra get disabled? one of them can take out a Zidgra any day, I've even seen a Igadra Arada take one of them out.

Why?.............WELL WHY???????

Don't underestimate the power of the Zidgra and it's fighters. Two of them can easily take a Igazra out. I've seen this happen quite often. I'm not sure that a Igadra Arada could take out a Zidgra. Their not powerful enough. Anyway have fun coreycubed. Enjoy being reaquainted with an old love.

hmmm... that makes sense.

You've had EVO 276 days and you haven't even registered , Corey?

Oh, yeah, and the Zidara rocks. But it can rarely beat the Igazra one on one.

Well, my Mac was too slow to play Override until recently. Pathetic, huh? I just realized that I had plenty of memory available to play. Now I have something to hold me over until Nova. ๐Ÿ™‚

hah, 1000 and something days, 200 hours. Now I'm sad. Haven't played on it since I found the boards really...

Hi there Coreycubed.
Since you have alot of money, get a more powerful ship (and get rid of your transport-escorts). An arada cost not more then a megacredit, upgrade it and start looking for the fun missions. If you havn't been visiting the Miranu main planet Mira (NE of UE space). Do so, and I pay you a drink in the bar.

Ignore the above comment. ๐Ÿ˜›

Aradas cost 3 million credits, or up to 6 million if you want to outfit it right - and trust me, stock Aradas are ~not~ something you want to be flying. Keep the escorts, and get a large amount of money. Decide between a heavily upgraded Arada and a slightly upgraded Lazira, and go for it. But yes, sell escorts when you stop using them, or your money'll go down.

3 millions!? I have never payed more then one. But I agree that its not much of a ship without upgrades.

Well, I have been playing override for more than a year, but only some 150 hours. but recently lost it due to the mistake of my mother(grrrr) I'm downloading it right now in fact!

do I pilot a UE destroyer? certainly not!

No, it's 1 million set, you're right, but you can't do anything with it unless you really pour money into it. A good ship costs around 5 million to upgrade. I know, ouchies.

yes, however, you should always go for an azdara, especially with shield generator and armor, invincible

But, of course, upgrades can be performed over a period of time; the stock (url="http://"http://www.andrew.cmu.edu/~dsghosh/evosite/shipyard3.html#arada")Arada(/url) is a decent ship as is, though it won't get you far in strings. You can keep it for a while, upgrading as you get deeper into strings and need better performance. This is the same reason you might want to get a lower-end computer and slowly upgrade it until it's as good as one of the higher-end ones, so you don't have to shell out the money for a monster machine at one time.

And to corey, I've had it for about 220 days on this machine, and played about 7 hours in total, all to test plugs. ๐Ÿ™‚

My total hours have gone down, percentagewise, to about what you have since I destroyed my laptop.

I'll probably buy EVO at the same time as Nova. Assuming I register Nova, that is. ๐Ÿ˜›
