Wait! I really did think of the Dumbest fighter/ship. The igadzra fighter! They don't even have one. Now how dumb is that?

If were talking about dumb ships, you can't beat the Emalghan fighter. It's slow, poorly armed and shielded. The Azdara might be expensive, but you get what you pay for. The krait is very cheap, but also basically just a flying tincan with guns. Crescent fighters are the middle road, they can hold a lot, are fast etc. The reason I like Azdaras, is the fact that they are the kind of ship that daredevils fly. They're fast, graceful, and powerful.. They put all other fast ships in the game to shame. However, they don't carry a lot. If you were rating ships in speed, cargo, shields, recharge, firepower, manuverability, and cost, it would look something like this:
Krait Speed:2 Cargo:1 Shields:2 Recharge:2 Firepower:4 Manuverability:3 Cost:5 Overall: (2+1+2+2+4+3+5)/7= 2.7143
Crescent Fighter Speed:4 Cargo:3 Shields:4 Recharge:3 Firepower:5 Manuverability:4 Cost:2 Overall: (4+3+4+3+5+4+2)/7= 3.5714
Azdara Speed:5 Cargo:1 Shields:3 Recharge:5 Firepower:4 Manuverability:5 Cost:1 Overall: (5+1+3+5+4+5+1)/7= 3.4286
I hope that that was fairly accurate.
------------------ You would have to be ignorant, derranged, demented, or dead to turn down the oppurtunity to fly an Azdara.

In my personal opinion, the UE Destroyer is the worst ship. For the price of a Destroyer(2.0m C), you could buy 200 Shuttles(10k C each). That is 200 blaze cannons, to the Destroyers 6. That has got to be the stupidest mistake ever.

Believe me, I would still get a UE Destroyer over 200 shuttles any day. Shuttles aren't warships, and are not intended to be...

Basically you can't compare the price of one ship compared to the price of X amount. Sure, you can buy all those shuttles for the price of a Destroyer, but you cant fly more than one ship. Although price is a factor, you usually get what you pay for, it just may not be what you like.

Here are the two scenarios being argued here:
Scenario #1: The Player The player prefers to have the greatest ship possible, with no emphasis put on cash or efficiency. They would rather have an Igazra than 1500 kraits, even though the Kraits are unarguably superior. That is because the player can only fly one ship, and have six escorts. The player wants to fly the best, because they have unlimited cash and a limited amount of ship slots.
Scenario #2: The Government The government has a budget, and goes for efficiency. They can have an unlimited amount of ships, but they have a limited amount of cash. Because they don't care about the power of each individual ship, they would rather have 1500 kraits than one Igazra.
I hope that helps enforce both sides of the argument.
My Opinion: Effeciency over individuality... except for the flagship

The player may not neccesarily want the Igazra over the Krait. I, personally would rather fly a Krait-the Igazra's just too big and slow (it may be the fastest ship in its class, but the only other ships in its class are the UE Cruiser and the Voinian Cruiser (unless you count the Dreadnaught, which is no faster)). Of course, I'd rather get into an Azdara....
Anyway, the point I'm trying to make here is that, although the player indeed wants the best ship possible, exactly what the best ship is is up to the player.
To actually make a post on the topic, the dumbest ship that actually exists is the, well, I'm actually not sure. See, each ship is designed to perform a specific function, and each performs its function fairly well. You can't, for instance, compare a Freighter with an Azdara, because each of them is intended to do something different. Even the Emalgha ships are OK considering that the Emalgha have virtually nothing and yet have managed to turn a freighter into a warship that can take down a Voinian Frigate by working in pairs. And don't say that swarms don't count. Kraits and other light fighters are intended to attack in packs, and they do that quite well, don't they?

Now that i've been playing with the Krait (over an hour or so) and have yet to get out of the same pirate system i purchased it (traded in my UE Cruiser for a krait...go figure) i am saying that the worst SINGLE PLAYER ship is the Krait. If you dont believe me, try it for yourself.

I bet it will take you even longer with a helian
I'd have to say the worst ship is the Voinian Supply Ship. Sure, they can carry a lot of cargo, but they're sitting ducks to any ship with guns. It takes roughly two seconds to disable one, and they are so incredibly slow!

An AI Voinian Supply Ship certainly stinks, but I actually like the vessel as long as I'm transporting goods within the Voinian core worlds. I usually give it two neutron turrets, and a layer of dospect armor (you are usually able to take care of a few UE Fighters when outfitted this way). And all that cargo space certainly makes it a better vessel than the UE Freighter (in my opinion).
Worst Ship is either
Krait-If attacking a capital ship, all the player has to do is hold down r and space bar. Frieghter- Low weapons, Slower than a duck in molasses at the north pole, and terrible defense.
------------------ We are the knights who say Nee!
Worst Ship = Turncoat How can anyone pay for a capital ship this bad? The krait does suck, but at least it's fairly cheap.
