Hi i am a 22 level sorcerer trying to win pog. I am standing before a gate with a shield on it deep in the mountains of darmyl I think (I went west from northern territories went into a crypt came out of it and went into a cave). The gate says that I need a key I have a brass key from the highest level of the learning tree and I thought that was what I needed I dont want to go out of this cave just to find out it was some silly bug and then have to do it all again! Talking about bugs have you noticed the seemingly endless bugs that are in this game I cant understand the incredably low standard beenox has to publish this obviously unfinished game there are so many misspellings in the game that I cant even find certain monsters in the learning tree not to mention the strengthen bug where it says three times that "your weapon doesn't do more damage anymore" or something like that I never know which one is true. There are many more bugs like the endless sanctuary bug and dissappearing minotaurs (REALLY NO LIE!). I have the latest patch for the game and I think you can all see that this game was not ready to be published, especially if you have come used to the extensive playtesting from other companies like blizzard and I think ambrosia too. It's a good game and fun to play but it could be so much better!
And so the speech ends

The thing that's been happening to me just lately, and did it again last night, I'll be moving along and that all of a sudden I'm totally thrown out back to my desktop with a message saying PoG has failed, save your work, etc. etc. It will happen continuously if I don't restart my computer?? And yes, A Ton Of Misspellings....
------------------
It happens alot in the endless plains that pog unexpectedly quits but that happens elsewhere too. I use a mac (X) how 'bout u.
sad :frown:
The only bug I've encountered is the one where you are in the tree and everything goes black. I solved this by increasing the memory. I don't know about your bugs, it might be because you're using OS 10. I'm not sure though. I don't agree with your opinion about POG not being finished. As an aspiring developer I understand it is impossible to find all of the bugs in a game. I have encountered few misspellings, and they have been so minor that I barely noticed them. And you can't compare Blizzard with Ambrosia. Blizzard is a huge corporation with hundreds of employees and even more beta testers. People come to expect games like diablo 2 to have no bugs (even though some are found).
(edit/ after rereading my post, I realized It was a little harsh. Writing in a fit of rage is so much fun :), but helps no one.. /edit)

That is not a bug. You have not completed all the necesary quests to get the "key" needed to open that gate. The "strange brass key" from the Learning Tree was necessary to enter the crypt/tomb that allowd you to reach the cave with the gate you are now stopped by. if you have not completed the "Symbol of Garendall" and "Tome of Elixers" quests, plus some others you will get later, you cannot pass the gate.

Well there are bugs, but I have seen few that are critical. The misspellings and grammatical errors are annoying but do not really do much harm, as the Learning Tree descriptions of monsters don't help much except as background information. I am not familiar with the endless sanctuary bug and the disappearing minotaur bug, (though frankly disappearing minotaurs seems like a good thing) I am more concerned with the disappearing abilty points bug. The game could definitely use some cleaning up, I think they pushed the release date a bit too much. I have to say, however, I have seen much worse from major commercial game publishers, and am willing to give shareware publishers some slack - especially if they will fix reported bugs.
