Just got a few questions/opinions here: 1. Why do entire fleets of Voinian ships sail right through UE space without anyone (except me, that is) shooting at them? 2. Why do I see fleets of Voinian ships traveling with UE ships? I thought we were supposed to be at war. Apparently these fleets are not Voinian/UE ships but UE ships + UE crewed Voinian ships (they bought them, I guess). Therefore, when I shoot at what I see as a Voinian (crewed) ship, what I'm really shooting at is a UE ship. I guess that's why the rest of the (apparently regular UE ships) fleet jumps me. 3. Someone should sell the Hinwar other ships. Here I am in Gualon space shooting down Voinian ships, when now and then my screen tells me some of these are Hinwar ships. You'd think they'd want some kinds of ships other than that of their oppressors. 4. I just love it when renegades attack me (esp. in the Hatuli system). My ship is tough enough that I just sit back and let them attack me with their beams, usually wiping out fellow renegades in the process. I just wait 'til it's over, then take care of the last few. 5. Just recently, Hector begun to attack me (always giving me a nice greeting as he does so. However, when UE or Miranu/Zacha ships are close by, and get hit by Hector's beams, the "rest of the team" take it personally and jump Hector (of course, they don't know they can't hurt Hector, but I do). 6. Sometimes I see entire fleets of Adzgari ships, or Emalgha ships (I was told that they couldn't make the long journey to Earth, so why do I see fleets of them in UE space?) early in the game. Why? I dunno. 7. When fighting the renegades, I sometimes see Zachit fighters, Voinian Dreadnaughts, Adzgari ships,...being piloted by renegades! Now where they got them, I have no idea. I thought the first time the UE came into contact with another alien race (other than the Voinians, the Emalgha, or the Hinwar) was when they were introduced to the Miranu. 8. How do I disable/board the Nadir (Nader, ha, ha) when he's accidentally wiped out by either another renegade, by a militia ship, or by Hector going after me? Other than these problems/opinions, I'm fine and dandy. I also found out you don't necessarily have to eliminate the renegades in whatever system has you blacklisted. Sometimes all you have to do is eliminate the renegades in other (nearby) systems, and I guess the ones who blacklisted you unblacklist you.

It certainly sounds like it. Those ships shouldn't be seen in those systems - the only exception is a Person whose "systems appeared in" settings are set at all, which sometimes happens. But that only means that Crescent ships are seen in UE or Voinian space, at the most obscure, or UE Scoutships are seen in Miranu space. You shouldn't be seeing Voinian Dreadnoughts anywhere else other than on the Voinian Dreadnought missions, or just after having aborted them.
Also, just so you know the only UE-Voinian fleet case, not using plug-ins, and that I know of, is in deep Voinian space, where their are a number of UE Shuttlecrafts under Voinian High Command.
These bizarre events are most likely due to a plug-in. It's also possible that, if you downloaded it from a site other than the Ambrosia site and did not get it from a CD such as Macformat, that you found some form of "spoof" download with the data files edited like a plug-in.
The only other case I can think of is if you've been playing around in Resedit and somehow edited this yourself, but in that case you'd probably know what you're doing. It's pretty hard to make Voinian Dreadnoughts appear anywhere in Resedit if you don't know exactly what you are doing - but making Shuttlecrafts with the stats of Voinian Dreadnoughts is quite simple. <whistles innocently>
I suggest you download EVO again, so it makes sense, since most of those problems you mentioned seem to suggest it's not exactly perfect. Some other people might know more, though - I can't tell you everything.

If Hector is really bugging you, you might consider purchasing the 'license' outfit. It's available at Earth for 25 credits. It works as a kind of DNA-specific repulsor beam, deflecting parrots in crappy blue Helians.
In fact, last time I was on Earth, the price of licenses was really low! (They had a shareware amnesty, and all Ambrosia products were just ten credits.)

OK, if Hector is really bugging you(as VA said) just get the damned game! Its worth every penny, and if you dont have like $25 or $15, then get a job or something. Do you always try to rip off companies?

I hate to say this, but I'm refraining from registering partially because I've had EVO for years and I'm trying to see just how nasty Hector gets. He's already gone from blaze cannons to phase cannons, and he now also uses needle missiles and rockets. I'm just waiting 'til he starts using phased disrupter beams...

Thanx for all the good suggestions, guys. I found out what some of my problems were coming from: the huge fleets of renegade/alien/human+alien ships came out of the "Fleets of Doom" plugin (I took it out-no more fleets). I also had the "Pilot Builder" plugin from the "F-25" plugin pack plugged in. This plugin "creates" a suitable pilot for the "F-25" pack. I took that out-no more screwups. Now the only plugins I'm using are: Sound Makeover Beamfix EVO EVO Lasers EVO Personalities EVO Sizer Hold Beam Mass Flare Supermoney Ultimate Ships Weapons Fixer EV Override cheat-o EVO Tech Update I guess it's because of the EVO Personalities plugin that I get hailed by lots of ships, and their message is usually "Whazzup?" 'Aint that a hoot? Plus I get hailed by lots of UE Destroyers and Carriers each one claiming to be the UE Flagship. I started the game over and have completed the Emalgha, Hinwar, and UE missions up to the point of rescuing Anna Balashova. The only problem (?) I'm having now is whenever Hector attacks me, I hear his beams, but see nothing come from his ship. That's not really a problem, just an observation. I've also run into a (UE) Destroyer that claims to be an Ambrosia Hunter, but still attacks me. I wipe him out just the same as I would any other bounty hunter out for my scalp. With "only" eleven plug-ins do I think its a good idea to have EVO unregistred since Hector will be adding at least some challenge. But a plug-in which puts Hector back as "tax-collector" could be fun. Someone interested in creating one?
