You've made it clear in #ev3 that you aren't interested in my opinion (apparently since I've been gone from your community for a month), but just by reading the topic there is one obvious change that you should make - Remove Esponer's stories from your website. He's asked you to take them down, and frankly it's his choice.

He demanded it while threatening legal action. I do not respond to threats. You want to see? (url="http://"http://www.roostermac.net/cgi-bin/ikonboard/topic.cgi?forum=5&topic;=13")http://www.roosterma...orum=5&topic=13(/url)
And yes, i do suggest that you read everything involved on the board before you make any uninformed commentary. Why shouldn't I? I'm having to deal with people over AIM that Silverdragon has (with his clever wording) made think that i'm stealing stories already.

1. It's a public webstory board.
2. Because it's their duty to complain and i won't allow it on my board.
I'm happy to announce the following to the fools that are suggesting that Silverdragon can actually take legal action upon a link to his ASW board topic:
<rooster> moki - may i link to any topic that i choose to on the ASW board? <moki> I don't see why not <rooster> then i'll ask: is everything in a collaboratively posted thread property of the initial poster? <moki> no it isn't
Despite the horrible inconvenience dealing with this has caused me, the link will be gladly removed if Silverdragon asks politely.

Posted by Werty: From what I know of rooster, him being "tyrannical leader" as people here are >saying wouldn't surprise me too much. But in his defense, there are very few >people who, in a position of power, don't abuse it. Its a fact of life, live with it.
Referring to what I said earlier, the problem isn't that Rooster is the leader, so much as it has a leader. It needs to be like a council, where everyone has their say, everyone would have equal power.
Rooster, my understanding was that Esponer asked nicely over AIM, and you refused. And True, I dont have anything against Rooster, but I do have a problem with the leader of the WDC. Understand?
Finally, These are the few items I feel would greatly improve the WDC, you listening? Oh, and others, notice how many of them he accepts...
2)Dont delete every post that consists of critisism, only delete spam.
3)Make a few less rules, but explain them better.
4)Pay attention to other's oppinions!
5)Change your way of doing things from "I wont do it because I dont have to." to "Sure I'll do it if you want me to."
6)Host a new conference soon, with topics to be announced. Change the conference completely, have people present their Ideas BEFORE the conference, the conference should be strictly for voting.
7)If you consider important issues that have to do with "your" WDC to be a "horrible inconvenience" then resign.
8)I think it would be a great improvement for the WDC to be either a conference, OR a webboard, but it doesn't seem to work being both.
I know, this is a little much. consider any webstory like a game. Like a Chess game I suppose. You can tell yourself "it's just a game, dont worry about it, its not important" and its not important, but it would still piss everyone off if your opponent didn't play fair, or made up more rules than are neccesary, right?
Oh, and if you are board, check my first post... the date it was edited is interesting...

Finally.
I do conferences whenever a new story is started somewhere, and i'll try to make them less involved.
If something has false information in it, i will need to remove that as well.
You may have not looked at the WDC law reference. I believe there are only five, if you don't understand i'll be glad to explain.
I'd love to, but more often if somebody dislikes something an act like this topic is taken up. If it's actually addressed with me then i'll give full attention.
Sure, i'll do it if you want me to - and if the majority thinks it best.
We often need to discuss each topic very thoroughly before voting, i'm afraid for this one i can't offer a solution.
That is hardly what I meant. I was speaking of the misunderstandings that came from the way Silverdragon worded his testimonial.
Buh?

Well, people, show the majority, ok?
Well, it's not really what I meant.. Of course, the dicussions are part of the voting process, but here's an example. ** Day 1: You post a topic on your board or site, listing the main objectives and topics for the conference, and give an Email address. Day 10: post Emailed Ideas on the topic or web page, along with choices and such. Day 17: Have conference (on a day that the majority can make), and since all of the Ideas were alreay brought to your attention, it will run more smoothly. At the end of each topic discussion, ask if there are any other relevent ideas (that were thought of during the discussion)** Oh, and dont be the leader, (no offense of course). Well, what I mean is dont be as much of a leader, let the writers share their ideas, like dont ask the people individually. They'll decide how to do it on their own. You just announce the topics and options and such. Oh, and make sure to give everyone a chance to share their ideas, and have a fair vote. Oh, and post the AIM convo on the site, so people that dont have AIM will be able to Email their votes. I know, this is probably way too much trouble, but I think it would make everyone happier. At least do what you can. And after talking on AIM, I think you are a really good Admin, you just let your attitude and ego get a little out of shape sometimes, but it's understandable.
Maybe if you set a Co-Admin it would be less like a monarchy?
That's what moderators are for. I doubt if you suggested something like that to Andrew he would do any less than laugh in your face.
I'm glad you think I am such a good admin, because this ridiculous topic will alienate the WDC from any new users. And to what purpose? Resolving questions that you could have asked me over AIM and giving the less mature a legitimate place to flame me. I hope you're proud of yourself at least.
Let me put this in the bluntest way posible.
SOMEONE PLEASE LOCK THIS DAMN THREAD!
Thank you.

Locking in progress.
Anyway, before I do a few things.
First of all. Rooster has links to topics on this webboard, that the creators of the thread asked to be removed. Rooster doesn't have to at all, as the creators do not own the thread/page, the internet is a public place, threads are public and anyone can link to them, and the content of the page belongs to Ambrosia Software, even if they are your ideas, you posting them here gives them to ambrosia software (not that they'll do anything with them anyway).
However, Rooster could be advised to remove the link as it would make many others actually not hate him as much.
As for his site, if you do not like it, then don't go there. If you want to warn others, then make your own website, Do not put it on these webboards.
Finally, I ask that any more complaints about Roosters site, be sent to roosters site, not here, if they appear here, expect them to be deleted. Rooster should be advised to set up a suggestions board or something, but its his site, and he can do whatever he wants with it, just like andrew can do what ever he wants with these boards. And You as the users can choose to come here, or there, or not.
Have fun, don't get hurt.
