Head south... all the way to the tip. (And it's "Azdgari" ... all the strand names have two "a"s, a "z", a "d", a "g", an "r" and an "i" in them.) There may be a combat rating required, but by the time you fight through all the renegades on your way, you ought to qualify, no problem! The only other characteristic you will need is a liking for irritating little green goblinoids with spiky teeth, who are always dashing about the place.

Go to south tip station, If you don't find an Azdgari there either you don't have a high enough combat rating or you did someting the Azdgari didn't like and your out of favor with them.

If I had to choose just one strand for life, I'd side with the Igadzra. Their mission string really appeals to me. It seems to have just the right blend of combat and mystery. It's challenging but it doesn't have stupidly hard missions that you have to attempt twenty times because some stupid escort either blows away a ship you're supposed to disable, or gets itself killed when you're supposed to be protecting it.
Of course, in the long years that we have been waiting for Nova, I have had many pilots, and sided with all three strands.
I'm glad the Azdgari are in the game... I like shooting them in large numbers. Their fighters pose a challenge, but when you survive that challenge, it's very satisfying. Blowing away Azdaras is what secondary weapons were invented for!
