EVN has recently entered beta testing. There is no official speculation as to when EVN will be released. See EVN FAQ (url="http://"http://www.AmbrosiaSW.com/cgi-bin/ubb/forumdisplay.cgi?action=topics&number;=30&SUBMIT;=Go")here(/url).
If you are refering to plug-ins for EV/EVO I would recommend Empire of Crime which was just recently released(for EV).

However, Ambrosia has not announced a release date, for the simple reason that it is not possible at this point to know when EV Nova will be ready for release.
