Yeah, you can't just decide that some people aren't 'present', whatever that's supposed to mean on a post-by-post webboard. Carno is an exception, he is on vacation and neglected to notify those that depend on his moderational duties.

Were you looking for me, grundulater? I've been on #ev3 a lot more often than on the boards, and I've also decided that I like the Developers' Corner and the Image Gallery more than the EVO board. Therefore, I'm hardly ever on the EVO board.
And this topic does actually seem rather like spam...

Why does it matter to you? I have my own life (well, I don't have a life, but I can control what I do ;)), and don't have to tell everyone what I am doing, let alone someone I only know through text and a bit of Perl code. Also, I might just not have anything to post.

The basic idea is okay, but this type of thing should be handled in bars if anywhere at all. I'm sure it might be possible for people to handle this topic sensibly, but more likely they'll just scream "spam!", and spam themselves - which they already have done.
