Favorite ways of making money.

Okay guys, what are your favorite ways of making money?

Two catagories: 1) Amount gained, 2) Enjoyment.

For me I would have to say the easiest way to make money is raiding voinian supply ships at pax, with a scoutship and some frieghter escorts. You get equipment and sell it at Pax, Medical to sell at Oberon or that red mining planet, and drop the food.

The most fun (not including plot) would be bounty hunting.

Hunting Igazras in my azdara, 600-750,000 is quite a nice amout for a single ship.

Most funny is probably demanding tribute from planets, not capitals ofcourse, to looong time.

I always liked doing the Miser's Run in a Scoutship. It's not too challenging, and
with 6 Cargo Transporters as escorts (just in case they target the escorts I usually
have durable ones) you can make quite a large amount of money, and it's also fun
and makes good training.

I also like stealing money from human ships when in my upgraded Shuttlecraft (at
the very start). My order is a) Freighter, easy and profitable Helian, easy and
profitable, c) Scoutship, easy, not so profitable, d) Cargo Transporter, a little
tricky, but good, e) Freight-Courier, near impossible with my non-MP tactics, but
quite profitable.

A run from Gribn to....... The other one...... In the Hatuli system. Trading metal
for equipment. Lots of human renegades.

Gribn to Tehir. Make it with 6 human Freighters as escorts, or 6 Miranu Heavy Freighters, and buy anything afterwards (make as much back and forth runs as possible).

I like boarding Igazras and plundering everything and using them as my escorts for my UE Cruiser.

Well, at the beginning, I just sit in the Saalia system and blast any non-ue ship that comes in. They're all traders, like freighters, scoutships, and transporters. Later in the game, the Zachit termination missions, or, if I'm playing a renegade, raiding Zachit aradas (around 200k each.)

For 1), I must say the crassworms run, after VA pointed it out. For 2), nothing beats plundering South Tip renegades.

This dosen't sound good. Um... okay here is an example of what I mean.
Getting a Voinian cruiser and getting into the crescent.

Oh, and carnatour, yeah missions are fun but I meant not including missions. Whats your favorite without missions carns?

I like to uh, get on my MTA subway Number 6 line and go to my gig that night. Then I get about two or three hundred bucks (if I'm lucky) and I spend it on booze...oh you meant in the game!

You'd go for a Scoutship after a Helian? But the Helian is so much more expensive! Oh... I guess you capture it, right?

When you say 'freighter', do you mean UE Transporter; the 75k thing?

Just wondering. Nice to find someone else who doesn't think the scoutship is necessarily the only 'real' ship for less than a million credits.

Well... for me the best way of making money and have a decent warship in 4/5 days is:
1ş -> shuttle and transport missions on UE space, its fast and rentabel, untill I get 80000 credits.
2ş -> buy a scout ship and add: 2 fuel, 1 scoop, and 2 phase swivel cannons (90ş targeting, bought at Miraya).
the I traded a little with it, and decided to take out a Arada in DSN-4922 near Yerdor, its quite easy if you don't attack it frontaly, when the status becames Hostile, the IA ships will only use their cannons when they are realy close, if you can keep a safe distance and fire at the same time, just hiting them at the end of the cannons range u can disabel the ship without take a single damage.
3ş You board the ship and take it has yours (it touked me 3/4 times to sucessfull board one and take it for me).
4ş well now you have one of the more versatil ships, light attack ship, light freighter, or small warship, and fast very fast is up to you.
5ş I decided to board a miranu heavy frighter, (500 cargo WOW)
6Ş then is easy you buy 2 external fuel and then you trade weapons: (Chak//Emalghion) you can win a lot with this.
7ş after you win +- 1.2M with full cargo (lol) you gather enough money buy a Miranu warship and bounty hunt UE ot voinans or help renages.. anyway.. this is what I have done... now I own a Crescent Warship with this:A layer of Dospect armour, a Bronev plating, a UE cloaking device, two external fuel thanks, a density scanner, an IFF decoder, and afterburner, a sensor upgrade, 4 phase turrets, two fuel scoops, an auto-refuelet, two dispersal rockt launchers, a thrust upgrade, 4 shield enhancers, and engine upgrade, a mass expansio, an ECM system,a Zidagar ECM System, a RCS upgrade. pretty nice now I have a good ship a good status and I bounty hunt :- )
