BattleDoctor notes that Leader of Emalgha is grounded. As second-in-command, he gets promoted.
Then BattleDoctor remembers that he can't post Wednesday evening (Pacific) through Saturday, and some weeks sunday. So, this sucks. looks like there will be no Emalgha until Sunday...

Korane paced back and forth in his office, until Admiral Beigh walked in.
"Beigh! What are you doing here?" Korane demanded, turning on his heel.
Beigh smiled. "I heard Tanath went to Romit. I thought you might need me up here. Also, I have some news from Gualon."
You do?" Korane asked curiously.
Beigh nodded. "There has been lots of movement. An Emalgha fighter made it's way through our space!"
Korane smashed his fist on a wall. "No! We can't have them make any contact. Bring all our ships out - guard our perimeters."
Beigh grimaced. "Also, Soncere has not been back from the attack on Yandros lately."
Korane grinned slightly. "He thinks he can betray me. I have something up my sleeve first."

Go to Yandros. Seek out Soncere, and get within his ranks. Then have him wasted. Do whatever is in your capability to stop the flow of Voinian technology.
DO NOT LET Soncere live. If you succeed, you will hold his rank and control his land.

Admiral Benden paces the command deck in front of the bridge veiwport. He stops and looks out at the never ending lines of hyperspace. Hyperspace was instantaneous, though time passed outside the ship. The Admiral always thought time went by very slowly in hyperspace. The starlines suddenly changed into firey points of light and the Yandros system spread out before him. Take the fleet into high orbit around the sun. Take us in close enough to hide the signatures of our shields and engine emissions. All hands to Alert Status. Launch a probe and have it relay all comm traffic in system to us, order the Admiral.

"Sooo, You are escaped slaves, preparing to fight for your freedom... I would think that being based on a Voinian planet would give you accesss to at least some techs.. What have you found? We can supply you with our own private assault rifles that we have on board, about 18, in exchange for some samples of, Dospect or Bronev?"
"We would definately like to help you, but our navy is tight strectched just to keep our homeworld from being overrun by Voinians! We cannot help you now, save for some Assault weopons. If we only had an ally....."

Kokoney landed his stolen shuttlecraft on Voinia. He jumped out and rushed straight for Korane's office. When he got to the office he knocked on the door and entered. He then told Korane the entire story of what he found while on the base, even the news of 10 voinian frigates defecting, though that wasn't new news fo Korane. He then told him that he found out the fleet was going to ambush a task force in the Ylynn outpost. "....and I am going to leave again to earth for some more information," Kokoney concluded. Kokoney just thought of something before he opened the door, "The UE does not know of the Emalgha or the Emalgha of UE. If we were to capture some UE warships and attack the Emalgha they would not try to make communications. And when we attack the Emalgha we could capture some from them and attack UE in those. Meaning if we kept on doing that we would gain more ships and stop two enemies from uniting and becoming more powerful. What do you think?"........

F***! I just wrote a large post, and it's blewed it up!
I can't be BOTHERED to right it again, so here's the jist.
Thunder stepped forward and greeted the lead Emalgha representitive.
"Hi, I'm Thunder, leader of this resistance. We have no navy, no ships, and only a few thousand members scattered across this and several other settlements in the area, but as our message spreads, our movement will grow, until all the Hinwar are behind us. Because of this, we can't offer you any samples of Bronev plating or Dospece armor. The closest we have is a scorched piece of hull we found after scouring the crash site of a Voinian Supply Ship. We'll give it to you if you want it, but we have something even more valuable."
"And what is that?" the Emalgha asked.
"Information," Thunder replied. "Several of our operatives were once slaves inside the Voinian military complex. Slaves weren't given access to military information, but they sometimes came across it, either out of curiosity or through Voinian laziness or mistakes."
"What kind of imformation?"
"Voinian space is vast, right? More than a dozen systems, and more than a hundred warships, from our best estimates. Yet, you Emalgha, who tell us you have only two systems, easily manage to hold off most of their raids and attacks, with your much smaller space force."
"True," the representitive said, "that does seem a bit odd."
"Also, on the rare occassion that we got hold of a Voinian military report, they have a lot of ships on patrol on their eastern border. And several of our members of our resistance have overheard high ranking Voinian military officials ordering anything from single ships to small fleets to launch attacks along their eastern border. That's why we were so surprised when you said you came from the galactic north; we always assumed any Voinian enemy would come from the east."
"What are you saying?"
"I'm saying I think the Voinians have another enemy, other than the Emalgha, to the east of their space. Whoever they are, you have a common enemy with them. Our best estimates is that they could be anywhere between 3 and 6 systems east of here. We have enough hyperspace fuel, covertly siphoned from Voinian tanks, to fill each of your ships and store around 300 extra units of fuel in each one's cargo bay. We've got no ships, so the fuel is worthless to us. Whether you're going back north to your space, or east to investiage the possiblility of a new ally, we're sure it will come in handy."
Just then, 3 resistance members and 2 Emalgha engineers rushed in. "We've finished refueling and repairing the Emalgha ships, one of the resistance members reported. "And they gave us extra fuel, too..." one of the Emalgha engineers said to the Emalgha representitives.
"One more thing, before you leave," said one resistance member. "We just gave you fuel and valuable information, can we have some of the assult rifles? Every little bit counts when you're mounting an insurrection."

Phoenix lands on the planet, covertly cruising toward the Emalgha's coordinates.
He gets out, his dark boots making faint traces in the soil. He sprays TerraPerma spray onto the tracks to hide them from annoying Voinian scouts. He walks toward the hills.....
When he gets to the craggy hills and rocky mountains, he climbs up the sides, and waits at a good spot.

Titan welcomes ESpilot into his office. I do have a job for you, we need to find out where the Voinians are going to attack us next. Since your ships is small and it has a cloaking device, you should be able to get around Voinian space undetected, we won't you to monitor the Voinian fleet movement around the frontier, and we'll pay you 500 credits, plus a 200 credit bonus if you accept the mission. Do you accept?
ESPilot says "I'd be glad to. The Nightspirit can easily evade Voinian patrols. First I'll be making a patrol along the frontier itself. After that I'll travel a bit deeper into Voinian space and observe the ongoings there. And if you want the design for my homemade cloak, that I won't give you." ESPilot leaves for his fighter, and jumps off to the Eltor, and from there to Dogovor.
In Dogovor, he cloaks and lands on the Pax spaceport and proceeds to the bar. He sees a Voinian beckoning him to join him. ESPilot walks over to the Voinian, and the Voinian says "Us Voinians need such human mercenaries as you. We want you to intercept and disable a Freight Courier arriving in the Bakka system soon. Report here for further briefing." ESPilot blasts off, cloaks, and heads for the Bakka system. He arrives there, and cloaks.
He sees the FC jump in followed by a trio of Voinian Frigates. He contacts the Freight-Courier and says "Hit your afterburners and dock at the station! That Voinian fleet is here to get your cargo! NOW!" and the Freight-Courier's pilot says back of the comm unit "Uhh ok." ESPilot watches the engines on the FC light up and it pick up speed.
ESPilot then maneuvers to the Frigates, still cloaked, and decloaks suddenly firing his neutron cannons at full power! The Frigate is caught off-guard, and fire rockets from the turret at the Nightspirit, but the rocket just speeds into the void of space. The Nightspirit appears out of nowhere behind the frigate and opens fire with Neutron cannons on the engines!! The Frigate responds with neutron blasts of its own, but they fly off into space hitting nothing. The nimble and stealthy UE Fighter appears straight in front off the frigate on a full-speed collision course! ESPilot veers to the right of the frigate and starts blasting away with his neutrons, completely annihilating the portside bridge.
It explodes in a ball of flame, and the rest of the frigate begins blowing up from the inside. He cloaks, checking his radar. One frigate left? ESPilot thinks to himself, when he sees the U.E.S. Prodigal Son itself fighting the remaining frigate! It's destroyed, and ESPilot jumps out of the system into Dogovor, and then on to Yandros. In Yandros, he cloaks, and spots the fleet of Voinian warships and picks up Soncere's transmission. He then transmits a transmission to the Lunicus Base HQ, and continues his patrol of the Frontier to Verril and DSN 1810.

Greetings. I've recently finished my scouting in Yandros, and it seems that a group of Voinian ships wish to defect. If you haven't already heard of this, I believe it may serve the UE as vital information.

As Admiral Benden snoozes in his command chair, he is awakened by an officer. "Sir, their is a Voinian fleet in system. A report from a mercenary indicates that they wish to defect, though we have recieved no transmission that says they do," reported the officer. Admiral Benden frowned. What he hated more than fighting Voinians was fighting with Voinians. "Very well. Proceed to the coordinates od the Voinian fleet. Launch all fighters as soon as we are far enough away from the sun that the pilots won't cook in their cockpits. Open all communication lines and wait for the Voinian fleet to communicate with us," ordered the Admiral. It was going to be a long, if not surprising, day.
During ten hours, the planet of Omm was attacked by renegades. The renegades submerged the Omm system with 4 Helians and 6 Kraits. The brave defenders who only had 2 Helians and 4 Kraits during that battle did a magnificent work by they destroying one Helian and 3 Kraits. Unfortunately, 2 Helians and 3 Kraits were lost during that epic battle. The others flew await link rabbits. That nightmare forced Razim Difenbeker, the principal clerk of the Great Order to sign an alliance for mutual defense with the Prime Minister of Iothe Prime. The Allied Systems Against Renegades (ASAR) was born. The commander of this "fleet"is Admiral Nelson, me.
This "army" will regroup 10 Helians and 11 Kraits that will be mutually shared by both systems. Eventually, more will be built for a better protection and to attack renegades. The priority for Omm and Iothe Prime is to properly defend themselves. To do so, the DSN-5842 system will constantly patrolled by 2 Helians and 3 Kraits. In both systems, 3 Helians and 3 Kraits will continuously secure the planet and the merchants. There will be one Helian and one Krait left in each port.
The ASAR bank account hold for about 30 millions credits, depending on trade and current projects.
The technicians and engineers on Iothe Prime will start working on an shield battery that will add no more than 25 units of shield for 5 tons of space. This should cost 600 000 credits and stay on the tables for at least 4 post.
The shipyard on Iothe Prime has been ordered to start build 4 more Kraits to escort merchants if they go to Thoso or Huron. This should cost about 375 000 credits and take at least 5 post to realize.

Good work ESpilot!, I'll send a fleet to recieve the defectors.
The cloaked frieght Courier lands on Gualon. They find Thunder, we have heard that you are going to revolt against the Voinians, we wish to help you, accept these weapons in our cargo bay. ::They open the cargo bay doors:: We will give you, 50 blaze riffles, and 5 UE fighters. The ship leaves and heads back to UE space.
Kokoney led a small group of frigates through uninhabited space preparing to enter hyperspace and hopefully reaching just after other voinian frigates dealt a blow to UE ships. When he arrived in the system the frigates that he sent were gone! only UE ships were there. wait, there are frigates up ahead. "Whose fleet is that?" Kokoney asked an officer standing next to him. "I believe those are Soncere's fleet Korane had to attack Yandros," the officer replied. "Quick, try to send transmission to Korane. Let's see if the radio signal can reach Voinia," Kokoney ordered. the officer saluted and went off to send signal to Korane. "While he's doing that order all men to battle stations and warm up the turrets. If I'm right we may have a battle. The other officers acknowledged and sent a message on the speakerphone, and sent signal to the 3 other frigates.
OCC. So I will have to wait until we discover the Miranu or other Strands. No more slow imagination alowed... maybe in a future that isn't too far?
Coninuation:
Because of my age, 104 years old, I had forgotten that my scientists were that advanced. Instead of investing in researching somethiong, I asked to the Great Clerk of the Great Order if the ASAR could build a shypyard to stimulate local econmy. That could help to free yourself from trade for a moment. The Great Clerk accepted with some conditions and the construction of the shipyard started. At a cost: 5 M credits and 9 post.
Hopefully, renegates will not disturbe this great project.
Admiral Nelson in command of the ASAR
Lord Gwydion quickly gets to his ship, but then realises that a Voinian Cruiser would be very noticable in UE space. He quickly makes a plan. He jumps into the DSN-9418 with a ship full of marines. Upon seeing a freight courier, he launches his weapon systems, but only to disable the ship. It is disabled quickly, and Lord Gwydion orders it to be boarded. The marines are swift and deadly, and soon the ship is in Lord Gwydion's control. He orders a trusted officer aboard his ship to make it ready for a quick backup when and if a transmission is sent. Lord Gwydion jumps into the Yandros system, where Soncere had been heard from last.
PS-Is Soncere still in space, or has he landed?
