Question though, at what point does bad karma lead to a banned I.P.? Also if you banned the I.P. would that ban his brother?
-10 karma automatically bans you, and yes, if spoonbender and Voinian Earth use the same computer, they would both be banned.

I thought that it just banned the username, not the IP.

Wait a minute, how would VE's banning ban me? It bans your computer from the boards? This is too confusing for me. Someone fill me in on this.

It would be rather pointless to ban by IP, since most home Internet users have a dynamically assigned IP address which changes every time they sign on. Banning a dynamic IP address would not effectively block the user, but would also risk banning other users who were not the intentional target. Banning by deactivating the user's account would be the only viable option.

As I explained above, an IP ban would be ineffective unless Voinian Earth is connected through some sort of corporate or educational network with a static IP address.
Ok, I've appointed myself the forum expert on being banned.
A -10 karma results in your USERNAME and ONLY your USERNAME being banned.
If moki chooses to he can also enforce an IP ban. He can either ban a specific IP or an IP range. So he could ban 255.555.255.255 or he could just ban 255.555.xxx.xxx
Take my IP: It's a class B IP and the range is used by a lot of people. If my IP were banned again it is quite possible that a few other people in my area who use these forums (although I can only think of one who lives close enough to be affected) wouldn't be able to post.
So if moki banned the IP range of VoinianEarth then yes, spoonbender wouldn't be able to post either from the same interent account.

Well since my IP is always in the range you talked about, but I doubt that if I got banned (no chance of that) it would stop me from getting on here. Because of the fact that I'm moving soon, my IP range will change I'm pretty sure. But it still would be unfair. jk not... You should not make fun of him. It is really something he takes seriously, and thus it isn't just a little insult or joke, it is a terrible insult, one that makes you extremely mean to say.
If you do it accidentally, like I did, then I suppose you have an excuse. It still affects him, though. Doing it on purpose and......... Well, not only will you get a karmaslap or 10, but you may lose your respect on these boards.
