who is this and why does it say "It's actually in 15.193792102158E+9 years"?

Heh, that's one of the many famous pers in EVO. A special character, you could say..
There is also.. *Matt Burch, creator of EV and hailed father of the EVO race. *The Nadir, an infamous pirate who is even hated by other pirates. *Disco Bison, the mightest ship in the universe. *U.E.S. Incontrovertible, an extremely powerful UE Destroyer.
These are all just special ships with upgraded power. I warn you, think twice before you attack them. There are many, and they are rare. They are strong and cunning, but often friendly.
There's also Andrew Welch, who may fly a crummy UE Freighter, but fighting him at close range is a different story. He carries plenty of Neutron Turrets, and as a good deal of shielding...
Does the Universe actually end? Am I on a time limit?!

Yep. Ad something about Lazurus: if I recall my bible readings correctly, he was one of the followers of Jesus and is mentioned in the Gospel reading for Palm Sunday, which was last Sunday.

Lazurus was the man whom Jesus rose from the dead outside of Jerusalem, just before Jesus made his entry into the city proceeding his crucifixion. The story is recorded in a few of the gospels...Matthew and Luke, I think it is.
My interpretation of Lazurus is like the store. Just like how they announce when the store is closing, the universe might close at any time.....

Do you ever see the Nadir besides in the AB missions?

Completely correct except for one mistake everyone seems to be making: it's spelled "Lazarus"

I doubt it, but is there actually is a time limit to the game?

Oops, you're right. I'm no spelling expert. I often have plenty of trouble spelling the names of Bible characters...
AHA! My Lazaras store theory stands!!!!!!

It's not profound, but it gets the job done...

that's because the Nadir isn't a person, in the view of the game. The nadir is a type of ship not sold anywhere, and for the final AB mission it's a member of a renegade fleet of turncoats. You can't make a person a member of a fleet, so it had to become a ship type. There's probably a fleet somewhere in the resources titled 'Renegade Fleet w/ Nadir,' or something of that ilk. That's why the nadir is never seen but in that last mission.
Come to think of it, it might be fun to make the nadir a person, with a mission bit activated when boarding telling you to go collect that bounty they're always talking about on the news.
Ever notice that Laz-arus flies a Laz-ira? I think he pioneered the Lazira design, myself.
I see him as sort of a crazed monk who has been sealed in a cask of ale for 4000 years, and had a vision of when the universe will close. Weird.

You know how Lazarus says the universe will close in 15. (I can't remember, but it was something really weird), and this game was made in '98, and 15 years from then is 2012? Well, I saw this video on some South American tribe, and it said their calendars (which it also said were very accurate) say the world will cease on the same year. Creepy.......

15.193792102158E+9 years. That's scientific notation. It's not a little more than 15 years, it's 15.etc. multiplied by 10 raised to the ninth power, or 1 billion years. So the universe, according to Lazarus, will end in 15,193,792,102.158 years.
ever the show-off, CPH
