Construction on the 3 spines is going full speed ahead, and they will be ready tommorrow(real time). Construction has started on a fully equipped command module, with its own full complement of systems, to allow even greater command and power of the IAS Triad. This will fit in a secure holding center near the singularity core, and will be able to get away on its own, and have significant power of its own.
Construction on a massive armour 'cage' is started, built in sections to fit the IAS Triad and protect the main weapon even further. It is designed to have its own power plant, a small version of the primary IAS Triad plant. It has heavy layers of buckyball armour.
All stations and ships are outfitted with buckyball armour now. Buckyball armour can absorb immense amounts of energy, dispelling it into quantum space. The main effective weapon against it is kinetic energy, although the armour is extremely dense, absorbing great impacts. All IA allies have this.
Work is almost finishd on the Phase Cloak, and due to the massive amounts of energy needed to shove a ship out of local phase, it will have to be fitted on the IAS Triad.

Jade paused west of Miranu space, in the nebula. She considered borrowing an Odine cloaking device, but decided that that would be cowardly.
The Jade Dragon, an Azdgari Warship, and 25 more Azdaras are resting too. Jade makes a decision.
"Attack the Miranu"
"Which system?"
"Priat first. It poses a challenge"
---------------------------
All Jade's ships leaped into the Priat system. The ASS Beatrix used Shock Break on a swarm of Crescent Fighters, and many exploded.
"Azdaras, hit the larger ships"
There were larger ships - warships, even. The Miranu had grown stronger lately, but the Azdaras could easily handle them.
The Jade Dragon fired off SAD modules, destroying many fighters, and then opened fire on the station.
"Use Shock on the station. Have the Jade Dragon cover us"
Shock smashed into the station, ripping apart it's shields. The fighters in the system were being held off easily by Jade's trained forces. Finally, the message came: "We surrender".
"Then send me 20 Aradas and 8 million credits and I'll leave you in peace" Jade demanded. "Agreed." the station commander replied.
Jade took the Aradas and the money and disappeared. A huge Miranu fleet trailed them, but they lost track of her before she reached the nebula again.
"Now, I'll send people out into Miranu space to buy equipment with the money. I'll have 20 Seiken Aradas in no time" "But we'll need a base of operations" the second in command said. "Set up a small base on F-25 for now, but be ready to run" "Yes, ma'am." "That's captain, to you."
------------------ A.S.S Jade Dragon, Azdgari,
Jade, that post is unreasonable. Swap it to some place else - maybe a weaker Miranu base.
And remember, you can't just crush people in seconds.
And about your A.S.S Beatrix - don't go thinking it's invincible.
I myself might see it's destruction....

Okay, RMA is commanding the Voinians for me in my absence? Fine by me... I may be able to post very, very limitedly today and tomorrow, and maybe on Saturday. See y'all later

the recent attacks near IA space are noted by the tachyon sensors, and the alert status remains unchanged. RIMs and Railguns set for autofire on any unauthorized ships. With fleets at readiness for battle. The IA is ready for any attacks on it.
(This message has been edited by RMA (edited 03-29-2001).)
Fine then. I attacked, let's see, Kirrim? Is THAT okay???
And about my ASS Beatrix - don't be harsh on me. Being independant majorly stinks, as you're not in control of much at all.
Another thing - I no what technologies you all have, and I'm expecting you to attack me sometime soon, using something obvious like cloaking devices.
Don't.
You're not going to be able to kill me - I'm ready to move at any moment, and my ships are no doubt faster than the huge, clumsy ships you'll send.
Also, I'm strengthening the StQ, especially the Shock attack. It'll take a while, but that 20% damage will soon be up to about 25%.

Actually, you dont know about most of the techs we all post till we actually use them in a battle. The UE knows about your weapons now that you've used them on its ships.
Oh, and about the Seiken Aradas:
50% more shields Armed with a minor version of Shock and Shock Break but not armed with Seiken due to how unfair that would make this game Faster than normal Aradas by quite a way Armed with phase cannons, dispersal rockets
About Seiken: Seiken attack does not entirely exist. It is outside this universe, more like a shadow than an energy weapon. It is entirely chance based how it hits the enemy, but I decide that. And I WON'T be bias about deciding, either.
So don't go thinking shields or armour will really protect you. You could TRY outrunning it, or put another ship in the way, but no blowing it up or anything
Jade
PS: Oh yeah, Seiken Aradas have a long way to go before completion, and Im planning on capturing some more soon. I hope I'm not annoying any of you here, I'm only trying to have a good side for myself
And indeed, Jade, the Omegas are faster than you would think.
Also, with the U.E.S Hades now out, I'm feeling in the mood for a test run....
Hehehe...

Paladin sends the U.E.S Paladin out to the north, leaving the others back after deciding to strengthen defences. The U.E.S Paladin travels to Kirrim, and begins searching around the general area, looking for Jade.
------------------- THE HIROGEN BLAZE IS COMPLETE! All UE Fighters are being outfitted with it now, which will make them much more powerful.
------------------- IMPORTANT NOTE: KEEP IN MIND THAT THE UE ONLY HAVE UE FIGHTERS AND UE CRUISERS. They no longer use UE Carriers or UE Destroyers, as they are obsolete compared to the UE Cruiser.
"Captain, we have news!" one of the Azdara pilots shouts. "Quieten down, what is it?" "The U.E.S Paladin is looking for us!" "Good for them" "Shall we go to Raigar?" one of Jade's advisors asks. "No, far too obvious. In fact, I'm going back to Kirrim" "But Captain, they'll have stronger defences now" another advisor points out. "I'm going to get more Aradas, and I won't be long. I'll bring back 10 or so. By the way, did our agents have the intelligence to buy any?" "No" Jade's second in command replied. "Good. I wouldn't want them to waste money"
The ASS Beatrix sets off east, towards the UES Paladin, showing a mad lack of regard for it. Meanwhile, supplies for the Seiken Aradas arrive from agents who bought them in Miranu land. The first one is nearly complete already, of the 20.
---------------------------- encrypted message to Arada pilot
I'm sending you all data on the Save the Queen systems, the Seiken Arada and the ASS Beatrix. Also, I require suggestions from you. I will not accept orders, but I will follow your suggestions perfectly well.
Well? Where should I go? Who should I kill? Are you unhappy with my work on the Seiken Arada? Don't worry - once I've completed and tested the first few I'll send you all the data and you can mass produce them, if they're any good.
----------------------------
The ASS Beatrix passes the UES Paladin in the Kirrim system. The ASS Beatrix readies itself, and uses Seiken. The UES Paladin is frozen in place while Jade attacks and defeats 10 merchant Aradas in the system, and has her crew board them and send them back to F-25
Post rejected, Jade.
Your Seiken attack has to have a weakness. Thus I make one: It only works on ships with less than 75% shields.
That way, it is still strong, but not incredible, and if you played your cards right with Shock you might get me down - if I stopped firing at you completely.
I suggest you go with your advisor and run to Raigar. That way, I'd probably leave you alone.
Probably........

Work on the Heligun begins officially. Here are the weapon's properties:
1. Range greater than any primary weapons, including phase, adv.blaze and ion. 2. Hits with very little damage, only being able to destroy fighters, and then only under sustained fire. 3. Fires at incredible speed, both for the shards moving and the reload. 4. The shards have a impact large enough to knock anything below 1km long a large way away. 5. The shards, Pheragin crystals from F-25, are being grown in the Omega ships. There are so much of them in each Omega ship <will be, that is> that running out is almost impossible, and with more being grown without cost, it is a very useful weapon.
------------------------- After the Heligun is complete the UE will rest for a while before beginning a newly decided upon project; the Alpha warships.
They will be 2.5km long, armed with a Heligun like the Omegas and have Pheragin growth plants too. They will be armed also with 15 or so phase turrets, phased rockets - as they have proved incredibly powerful both on Zidagar and UE ships, and be able to split apart whenever one part is badly damaged.
Each Alpha will have 3 sectors, one at the front, back and one in the centre. They seperate when one side is destroyed, so unless you have your own cataclysmic weapon you'll find yourself fighting at least two versions of each ship as they come apart.
The following will be constructed: U.E.S Herione U.E.S Avatar U.E.S Climhazzard U.E.S Cloud U.E.S Blue Narciss U.E.S Ragnarok
The Igadzra military is busy retrofitting their current fleet with Turretted Beams and Buckyball Armor (The IA gave access to it's allies). 55% of Igazras and 70% of Igadzra aradas have been retrofitted. The Turretted beam is quite powerful (as in EVO), but energy limitations require that it can only be installed on ships larger than aradas; thus at present only Igazras have it. Work on the Plasma Siphon was still very delayed. The scientists believe that they can overcome the energy density problem with sufficient time, though work could be accellerated greatly if they could gain access to a reare chemical compound called Viridium Cyanate, and the only source high enough in concentration is Voina's atmosphere, which is rich in unusual compounds. Realizing that the Plasma Siphon project needed every advantage possible, Thunder sent a convoy of ships off toward Voinian space. Hopefully they could work with the Voinians to collect enough viridium cyanate to use on the Plasma Siphon project.
Thunder then turned his attention back to the military problem faced by the Igadzra. They had strong fleets of Igazras, and Igadzra Aradas to act as fighter support, but nothing in between. To this end, Thunder had gathered the greatest engineers from all over Igadzra space to design a new ship, somewhere inbetween the Igazra and Igadzra Arada. Preliminary work was promising; the original sketches detailed a ship with the speed of an arada, but about the size of a Lazira and with power almost on equal footing with a crescent warship. The Igadzra Destroyer, as the new ship was to be called, would make a valuable addition to the Igadzra Space Fleet once designs were completed. It was expected to take several weeks to get the first prototype into production.
In the meantime, the Igadzra turned their attention to finishing what they had started several weeks ago. With the loss of their base on Neslaut, the South tip renegades had been forced to retreat to their only remaining base on Mavs. Since then they had become much less of a force; attacks on Strandless and southern Igadzra worlds had almost ceased altogether. Now the Igadzra came in to finish the job.
A fleet of 50 Igazras, most of them complete with Buckyball and/or Voinian Armor and Turretted beams, and 30 Igadzra Araras came out of hyperspace and quickly cleared the system of Renegade vessels. They then proceeded to demand tribute from the station. The renegades launch a formidable fleet of Crescent Fighters, Aradas, and Laziras, but their phase weapons were no match for the Igadzra ships' heavy armor and their ships were ripped apart by the fury of the Turretted beams. After losing only 5 aradas and a single Igazra, the Igadzra forces defeated the renegade defense fleet and moved in; boarding the station. After a brief firefight, the remaining renegades, already in a state of chaos, were soundly defeated. Grudginly, the renegade leader handed over the command codes for the station to the Igadzra Commander. The renegade captives were taken off to be tried for their crimes, while the Igadzra worked to repair their new station.
<<Mavs is now under Igadzra control>>
------------------ A hatch opened up and the aliens said, "We're sorry to learn that you soon will be dead, But though you may find this slightly macabre, We prefer your extinction to the loss of our job."
Okay then, Paladin, have it your way.
I travel to Raigar, leaving only when F25 is completely devoid of any signs that I have stayed there. But remember, i'll stay on the move, and you don't know where I am.
Plus, the first Seiken Arada is ready, and the upgrade to the Shock attack is complete, both just in time to pack up and leave F25.
There's not much else to report, other than the following;
You can't hunt me down and kill me as easily as you think, because YOU DON'T KNOW WHERE I AM! I'm disappearing constantly, so you cant just go saying that you found me and blew me up.
Also, upon going to Raigar I'm going to build more Seiken Aradas, and also begin work on a new idea that will take some time.
I am going to devise a shield restoration beam, which will recover the shields of the target at the cost of fuel. This should take about 4-5 posts.
Work on the Heligun is getting along well. No problems have been encountered so far, and a very early prototype that fires normal metal shards instead of the crystals that are being grown is currently being tested. It doesn't have quite as much impact, but the tests so far show that the Heligun will be very effective once complete.
The UE treasuries are recovering slightly now, as the Heligun work isn't too expensive. They will still have to rest for a while before beginning to construct the Alpha warships.
In other news, the Sol system is being upgraded to maximum security and all constructions and techs will be centred around there in the future. 1/3 of the UE fleet is in Sol, ready to move to defend it, move to attack, or otherwise follow any on the spot orders. Cloak detectors and such will be placed in the system. The U.E.S Excalibur and U.E.S Hades are also there, and in the future important places will be placed under cloak - the cloak being used from the Omega ships.
-------------------------
The U.E.S Paladin eventually checks out F-25, at sees no trace of anyone ever going there. However, it is the only habitable place for Jade to have stayed, and when the information is sent to Paladin he agrees that they must have stayed at F-25. It is also fairly obvious that they have gone to Raigar, but attacking Raigar without support would be foolish, even though it might actually be possible to win.
The U.E.S Paladin instead goes to Hrekka, where the renegades are scurrying around in their ships. The renegades are all quickly destroyed, and then the U.E.S Paladin heads back to UE space.
U.E.S Paladin U.E.S Excalibur U.E.S Hades
will all be going in for redesign. More space will be crammed in, engine speed will be increased, efficiency of the weapons will be improved, and all three will be kept on planets for a while. They can be sent out at any time, but for now they are being rested.
10 UE Fighters armed with Hirogen Blazes are patrolling Zidagar space. Suddenly, an Azdgari Warship appears. Both sides are confident, but the UE Fighters have the advantage. They let the Azdgari Warship send out it's Azdaras, and then ignore them and charge at the warship itself. 10 lines of Hirogen blaze fire smashes into the ship, and then they come back to finish the Azdgari Warship off before it can report the new weaponry being used on UE fighters.
The signal range of the Azdara is lacking, but one zooms off to report. It is stopped by a Zidara, however, which blasts it apart. The other 5 Azdaras are quickly eliminated by the 9 UE Fighters left - one destroyed by the Azdgari Warship and 3 Azdaras that centred on it.
<encryption level beta 5*> To:Thunder, Igadzra Is it possible for the IA to gain access to the turreted beam? It would allow much greater firepower to be fitted to the IAS Triad, and Light Cruisers. Thanks.
RMA, IA <end message>
The armour cage being constructed is modified to have resting points for Light Cruisers, so that they may be carried into battle faster. Each section of the cage is mostly complete, with power plants installed, shield generators ready to be activated, with just engines and weapons needing installation. Weapons will consist of Neutron/Blaze turrets, RIM launchers(on turreted mounts), Railguns(many of these), Meteor missles, SAEs, turreted beams(hopefully from the Igadzra), and gravitonic lances(energy supplied from gravitonic engines)
OOC:To Paladin: How much of a range does the heligun have compared to the phase cannon/turret? Just the difference between the phase and Neutron/Blaze cannon/turret is a good bit. And they are designed from existing technology, so they wheren't very hard to make. thanks.
Bit about the IAS Triad: Its main power core is a large singularity, as well as several smaller ones that orbit the larger one. The power is regulated by Phase crystals, large power converters, and gravitonic engines to keep them stable. Most of the ship is fluctuating in space-time due to the massive energies running through it, and the technologies used, particularly the Phase Cloak.
Bit about buckyball armour: The actual buckyballs that make up layers of the armour are almost at the quantum level, the base line constantly fluctuating. Energy can be pored into this and it wont notice much. Does have weaknesses though(which I'm not telling of course.)
Rima looks on as the first few new fighter bays are installed. She called them Humrugar. They had the mixture of UE and Zidgar fighters with a bit of Mixed technology. They all held a blaze cannon and a Phase cannon with a Phase rocket launcher to.They also each had a Phase Beam. They held a few other things most of the time up to the pilots. They were yellow with a tinge of purple and had good shields, good shield recharge and good armor. If they weren't launched from the new fighter bay she put a cloak on them when the pilots got them.As the new Warship started to take shape she named it the Z.S.S. Gryphon.Already they were making sure there would be room for all new tech including the STS's.It would be done in a few days(one post) and would have the new fighter bay which launched 4 of the new fighters. She watched the fighters on a test run and smiled as they cut a swath through a small Azdgari fleet. She brought them back when she was satisfied.
ooc: How did you get Phase crystals RMA?
------------------ I'm not dead yet.In fact I feel pretty good!" I cut off your arm!""It's only a flesh wound!" "Bless this holy hand grenade..."

The IA started out with a small amount of Phase Crystals, due to the Zidagars help in the formation of it. I did ask Paladin about this, and he said sure. The IA has no more stocks of Phase Crystals now, and isn't in a position to get any more.
Also, the Zidagar megaship is being built very quickly. It's taken me a few days just to get the structure of the IAS Triad built....then again, the Triad is very powerful.
alright I'll give it a bit more time. But I only post every once in awhile.3 posts that have the ship in them. Some might not have the ship in it.3 instead of 1.
Ummm, look at this: 1. I was coming from voin space, in odine cloak 2. sorry, but i couldn't think of what new t looked like. Just change it to that. 3. UE cloak detectors dont work against odine cloaks. 4. If I understand correctly, STS's are like cruise missiles. fast, but takes a few hours. This entire attack was in about 10 minutes. 5. Good point, lets say that the damaged viper was destroyed, and when it exploded the power core caused a huge blast that destroyed escape pods. I just lost my best commander.
Originally posted by SilverDragon: **AradaPilot, you're post that attacked me is rejected for the following reasons:
1. The IA would scan you on your way, as they blockade me in completely. 2. My ship isn't being built in Sol, it's being built on New Taranto, as I said that my big ships were being there a while back. 3. The ship already is complete enough to have the following; cloak detectors and STS launchers - at least cloak detectors. 4. About 4 systems around you have STS missile arrays on their main planets. Your fleet would have been under much heavier fire than you expect, as the STS arrays have a faster rate of fire and more ammo than on the Omega ships. This I also specified. 5. My ships have all been retrofitted with Rima, so they have Phased Rockets, which are certainly not to be underestimated, as 2 can disable an Azdgari Warship. They also have phase weaponry and some have Crescent secondary weapons, as well as better shielding. 6. The U.E.S Hades would have been completed in this post, so almost everything is functional, probably enough for it to raise shields.....
You can attack if you want to, but I think you'd lose your Viper.

------------------ Is the answer to this question 'no'? Chaos to the enemies of the Azdgari
While Jade is away raiding Kirrim, an Odine Fighter on long-range patrol stumbles into the F-25 system. Luckily, it has its cloak on, so it stays undetected. The fighter pilot runs a full-scale scan on the Seikan Arada, noting its improved speed and strange weapon system. Jade's Azdaras pick up the scanning frequency, and come to investigate. The Fighter quickly jumps out of the system, heading back to Odine space, leaving Jade's men mystified as to the origin of the scan.
Odine raiding on the Igadzra has increased. Reports of convoys, even the occasional battlegroup dissapearing near Igadzra space have reached Thunder's ear.
Odine Vessels are being refitted with the new Voinain Armor stolen in the Miranu Freighter supply convoy.
