Hi!!! sorry to keep bugging everyone but i still don't understand how to raise your karma, do you never ever swear or somthink'?? How do you make the MOD's recognise that you need to have your Karma?

So umm tell me, how long have you been on this board? Anyway, I think a good way to raise Karma is to not swear (swearing got me a -1, but it's been fixed :D), and/or be helpful on the board.

Hobbit, the best way to get karma is to not try for it. Just be what, in your best judgment, is helpful, considerate, and otherwise good, and you'll be rewarded. The best way to get bad karma is to "spam" the boards (keep posting mostly worthless stuff to increase your post count, like you may be about to do), ask specifically for karma, or be unconscionably mean and rude to other members. (Swearing falls under the third category.)
You really don't need to worry about karma unless it gets to -10 Β when you get automatically banned. All you need to do is try to be like what I wrote above, and abide by the (url="http://"http://www.AmbrosiaSW.com/webboard/guidelines.html")web board guidelines(/url) consistently. It may take a while, but you will reap the rewards.

No, Oedipus you weren't the only one with negative karma. I wish you were around to see me when I first got here. Man I was really stupid. Laughing at myself and also thinking why I did lots of spam. I guess it was because I didn't know how to act when I first discovered Ambrosia's web board and had the courage to come up with a user name.

Oedipus may currently be the only person on this board with negative karma, though even that is unlikely. On other boards, though, there are plenty of people who got mods mad.
Or there is a third option to karma...

karma should only matter to you if it is bad. if u are clean, then dont worry about it.

I'm always fascinated by how motivated people are by such silly little tallies as Karma or Rank or whatnot, so long as anyone can see it. The competition in Myth II for a higher rank is downright bloody; here on these forums (which are meant to be entirely non-competitive, I think) we have people posting how-to lists for getting good karma. Is it worth the effort to have a little "Upstanding Citizen" next to your name? As long as you've not been banned, it's all the same.

BUT RANK IN MYTH II IS LIFE... haha.. nah just kiddin, actually the people who still play myth II mostly suck becuase all they care about is rank. Its almost impossible to get a ranked game for me after a reset because no one wants to play a "newbie"... I play ranked becuase it adds a little bit of risk to the game a people take it a little more seriously, but more importantly it should be fun. Anyway, my post is probably all off topic, its all your fault for posting about myth :p. About karma, I guess it is just kinda cool to have a better than clean karma, and an incentive to be nice ect ect. Its just a small little cool feature, or atleast I see it as that, but anyway I'm kinda new to this board (not to EV or EVO though).
