I met the UES Incont. ages ago while on a Zachit mission. Are there any missions or anything connected with it?
------------------
I don't think so. It's just a funny thing, but it can be useful. When I made the defend Emalghion missions, I flew a Miranu Courier, and didn't stand a chance. Guess what? Yes! The UES Incontrovertible jumps in, kick Voinian ass and saves the day! Jippie. I like that ship.
------------------ All E.T:s aren't nice. (Most of them are evil green blobs)
After it saved me I tried to destroy it. I fled in shame, my Crescent Warship down to 1 tenth of it's armor. Strangely, I haven't seen it since.
I've only seen him once...He's about as rare of a site as the Disco Bison.

I saw him the other day somewhere in the crescent - when you see UE fighters in that part of space you know it must be him :). But just to prove that you can never be sure you've seen everything, I saw a Renegade Azdara down in Tibidat yesterday - by the name of Violent Cloudburst! And as I was in my crew of one shuttle at the time I didn't get him below 94% shields - I think he is as upgraded as the A.S.S. Frivolous.
hmm, guess I must be playign too mcuh EVO lately. I hadn't seen the Disco Bison in a long long time, but in the last 4 days I have seen him like 6 times. Never been able to kill him. His cannon has so much reach. Maybe if you take a lot of SAD or SAE or pursuit missiles you can take him out. Has anyone ever killed him?
I have killed the UES Incontrovertible but after it got into a big fight, so I guess that does not count.

I'm sure someone has been able to kill the Disco...His machine gun is extremely powerful, but if you stay far enough away from him, I think it's possible to destroy him with tons of SAEs, along with as many SAE launchers as you can get.
I do know for a fact that the Incontrovertible has been destroyed. I believe it was Stud Beefpile and his powerful escorts that were able to wipe him out with a tremendous amount of firepower...
I didn't take out the Disco Bison when I saw him a few days ago... but then, I was in a shuttle at the time. It struck me as a waste, to see the 'Bison when I was in such a rubbishy ship. I have taken him out before, but I was in a maxed out Igazra. In a shuttle with no escorts, all I could do was hail him and say 'Hi'.
(BTW, Don't bother trying to capture the Disco Bison's ship. It reverts to being a stock Emalgha freighter if a player flys it.)

I took the Disco Bison out in one of my experimental games with an (url="http://"http://www.andrew.cmu.edu/~dsghosh/evosite/shipyard3.html#arada")Arada(/url) with a few hundred needle missiles. They're fun, and I was lucky -- I was in one of those DSN's north of Saalia, where no one else disturbs me... I sat there and pummeled him into armor, then ran in and smacked him silly with phase turrets. In that short time, I went to 20% shields, but he died. Now for the Incontrovertible...

So you've been able to board the Bison? How much credits did he carry?

I hold the title for most pers slain! I've got a big list somewhere, but am currently attempting to slay the Disco Bison in 1.0.2., in which he has SAE modules... erk!
The S.S. Surprise is a fun one to kill. But who is this 'Violet Cloudburst'? I ahve never encountered that scrapper before...
Off I go hunting!
i killed the disco bison twice. once with the forklift, which dosent count really, and another time i had the voinian dreadnought and just bought 250 SAE missiles and unloaded on the poor guy. it took something like 230 to kill him, i think... but it was in an asteroid field an i may have missed him a coupla times.
As long as you can stay away from the Disco machine gun, then you'll be ok so long as you can dodge SAE modules.
Funny thing is, I see the Disco Bison and Incontrovertible sometimes, but I have never seen Matt Burch! I've heard he flies a Turncoat and carries six kraits...Is his Turncoat in Override as tough as his Kestrel in Escape Velocity?
(quote)Originally posted by Captain Skyblade: **As long as you can stay away from the Disco machine gun, then you'll be ok so long as you can dodge SAE modules.;) ) and also has twice as many Kraits as the maximum. In Escape Velocity he has like eight Lightnings (once again, twice as much as the default maximum). And Turncoats are slower and clumsier. I like to think of a CW as Override's version of the Kestrel: good shields, projectiles and turrets, with a compliment of 2+ fighters and a bay to hold them of course, and reasonable speed for a ship of its size. The Turncoat is everything worse than the above description (other than the fighters). I've killed Matt Burch tons of times in various ships, an Arada, a Voinian Cruiser, a UE Cruiser, a CW, the list goes on. I've killed both the Incontrevertible and the Disco Hamburgermeat once. Both battles are in Moments of Pride and Accomplishment 1, that long forgotten chronicle of epic battles.

Forgive my ingnorance, but WHO ON EARTH IS THE DISCO BISON?
It's a pers. An Emalgha Warship that you should NEVER cross.
That Disco Machine Gun took my fully upgraded Crescent Warship down in two seconds flat.
I eventually took IT down with SADs, I think.......

When I took down the DB in 1.0.1., I was in a UE carrier with 4 crescent warship escorts..
Two of the brave perished along with all my fighters and theirs as well.. :frown:
I took him down, him and the 2 hostile Voinian Frigates that were beside him. My ship was the UE Dreadnuaght "Galinia" and I took extensive damage from his odd looking SAE missles. And some more when I got in range of the DMG. I came out with what I thought was a destroyed ship, but to my suprise I had 10% armor left. I looked over to him and I saw him blowing up! . But then, being smarter than the average whatever-he-is, he used a Egmaghla Fighter as an escape pod and zoomed out of the sector.
I should probably mention that I was using an armorment of:
10 enhanced neutron turrets 5 phase turrets 1 Egmaghla turret 2 neutron beams (which I plan to get rid of since they're too powerful) 520 shield points 1600 armor points and a partrage in a pear tree

That doesn't count, Warbeast. Us NON-cheaters don't use ships like that, that are plain unfair to pilot.
i once saw a krait named the lightning but i accidentilly pressed hyperjump and saw him for only a second.
