Ok, I've got this great idea for a plugin, but I can't find any good programs to make my ships with. Can anyone help?

A guy called Captain Carnotaur likes making ships.....
And soon I will too! I just need to download a 3D graphics program.
I know that Adobe is good for textures.......

Try going to the EVO add-on files section on this site. I'm sure there is a good ship building program there.

Avoid EV-edit. it corrupts Data. just d/l the RES-edit templates, and EVO developers map. Oh, and plug-checker and the EVO bible, though the formulas on plug-checker were more useful to me than the bible...

Although there are plug makers that frequent this board, you will get specific decoloper's help at the (url="http://"http://www.AmbrosiaSW.com/cgi-bin/ubb/forumdisplay.cgi?action=topics&number;=9&SUBMIT;=Go")developer's board(/url). Although this question was pretty basic, I'm sure you will need more detailed help

For graphics for ships, you can use something like Mechanisto to model the ship. (Mechanisto is available from the EV add-ons page. EV, not EVO.)
For the ship resources, I recommend (url="http://"http://www.sutherland-studios.com.au/family/evo_software.html")ShipWrite(/url), which is the best such utility I've seen.

As a developer, I personally prefer ResEdit. Very slick and nice. Also, try downloading the EVO Bible Annotated Edition (I think it's available on the downloads page). It provides some extra comments and information the EVO Bible does not include. I have found it very useful.
