I've captured Freeport for the Strandless. What am I supposed to do now? I get a few missions to take supplies there now and then but thats all I can find.

I never have played (i have tried though) but I think I heard that you need to go to Sol Huron or Rimor. then try the indipendant systems i.e. Lothe and Hatuli and Helios Write if it helps.
