ARMAGEDDON Designed by Jade
This RPG uses the standard EVO universe, but with totally new governments. Weapons are for the most part as in EVO.
ALEXANDRIAN---------------Commanded by Jade Position: Southeast of Miranu land, including some of old Miranu space Systems: 9 <----- volunteer mapmakers note this please! Status: Solid government Enemies: Raken Ships:
Alexandrian Fighter - Fast, with standard shield recharge. Heavily armed with dispersal launcher+4 rockets, pursuit launcher+6 missiles and phase cannons, the Alexandrian Fighter is capable of destroying light fighters quickly with it's superior weaponry, but is lacking in shield recharge and speed compared to light fighters. MED. FIGHTER
Alexandrian Gunship - The equivalent in size of the Lazira. The Gunship is armed with 3 SAD launchers and 2 phase turrets, as well as 2 dispersal launchers and 15 rockets. It is a noteworthy vessel as it has a high armour rating, giving it an advantage against Raken ships with their phase weaponry. The Gunship has a fast turn rate for it's size but lacks the speed of Raken destroyers. LIGHT WARSHIP
Alexandrian Cruiser - The Alexandrian Cruiser is becoming a common sight in Alexandrian systems now that they Alexandrians have begun to flourish. The Cruiser maintains a balanced speed and is powerful with it's four phase turrets, three SAD launchers+30 modules and 3 dispersal launcher+15 rockets, but they are often feared due to their fighter bay. The 3 fighters they carry are a dangerous pack, and the combination of heavy warship and powerful fighters often overthrows unorganised Raken raiding parties. The Alexandrian Cruiser has great shielding but limited armour. HEAVY WARSHIP
Alexandrian L.Freighter - The Alexandrians use light freighters to ship every from cargo to munitions. As their light freighters often hover around the edges of battlefields to provide weapons supplies to warships they have to be able to survive any stray fire. Thus they have excellent shields, one phase turret and two phase cannons and a worthy speed for a freighter. They carry 175 tons of cargo at maximum capacity. LIGHT FREIGHTER
----------------------------
RAKEN Position: Northwest quadrant of the galaxy - Hrekka, Hizdriar, across to the Rock Systems: 7 Status: Rebellious group Enemies: Alexandrians Ships:
Raken Interceptor - Raken interceptors are extremely fast and have an excellent shield recharge, although they have less shields than Alexandrian craft. They use 3 swivel phase cannons and can withstand a blast from a dispersal rocket. They are armed with a pursuit missile launcher and three missiles as support, although in the large raiding groups they usually appear in they rarely need their missiles. LIGHT FIGHTER
Raken Incisor - The Raken needed a heavy fighter to provide support to there Interceptors, which were at a disadvantage against large well trained Alexandrian forces. The Incisor was developed to perform this goal. It is armed with an SAD launcher and eight modules, as well as three swivel phase cannons. It is larger than the interceptor but still quite fast, and yet it lacks shield recharge. HEAVY FIGHTER
Raken Destroyer - A modified Alexandrian Light Freighter, the Raken Destroyer can certainly put up a good fight. It doesn't have the shields to match the Alexandrian Gunship head on, though, and it's armanent of 3 pursuit launchers and 20 missiles, without and dispersal rockets and 2 phase turrets/3 cannons don't really have that much power. It has speed, and that gives it some power of Alexandrian Gunships. LIGHT WARSHIP
Raken Carrier - Unlike the Destroyer, the Raken Carrier is actually quite good. It is huge, nearly twice as large as the Alexandrian Cruiser, and holds ten Raken Interceptors. The basic weaponry includes 3 SAD launchers and 35 modules, as well as five phase turrets. Despite having more turrets, shields and speeds mean that in a one on one between an Alexandrian Cruiser and the Raken Carrier the cruiser would win. HEAVY CARRIER
MECCALORE Position: UE space Systems: ? - all of UE Status: Solid government Enemies: Alexandrians, Relorians Ships:
Meccalore Viper - The fighters of Alexandria and Raken differ from the Meccalore fighters somewhat. Alexandrian fighters go for a wide range of weapons, and Raken for speed, whereas Meccalore fighters go for all-firepower. This makes them difficult to beat by Alexandrian fighters, who although have a speed advantage, don't have a significant enough one. The Viper is armed with four neutron cannons and has a lot of armour but little shielding. The speed of it is lacking, but not terrible. The worst part of it is the slow recharge rate. When it comes to secondaries Vipers use a needle missile launcher and are armed with 14 needle missiles. HEAVY FIGHTER
Meccalore Frigate - The Meccalore Frigate fills in the gap in the Meccalore navy where battleships lack. Thus, the Meccalore Frigate needed a role that the Meccalore people weren't all together used too - the frigate needed secondary firepower. Before then the only availble option was the needle missile, which was a horrible weapon used in large numbers on battleships. The frigate, however, is armed with two neutron turrets, a rocket launcher+15 rockets and hunter missile launcher+15 missiles. It is still slow, but is a great advancement to the Meccalore navy. LIGHT WARSHIP
Meccalore Battleship - It takes an awful lot to stop these things. The Battleship is truely ingenious, combining speed with firepower and the light touch with the heavy one. It moves as fast as most light warships, with heavy armour to protect it. It is armed with five neutron turrets and five needle missile launchers+100 needle missiles. These Battleships are a rare sight, but they can easily overthrow Alexandrian Cruisers and Raken Carriers. HEAVY WARSHIP
RELORIANS Position: Voinian space Systems: ? - all of Voinian space + Emalgha space Status: Factioned Government - Factions include Hirojene, Calashe and Aphor Enemies: Meccalore, Alexandria Ships:
Relorian Glider - The Relorian Glider is a badly designed fighter as it lacks firepower considerably. It is faster than the Raken Interceptor, but is definately not a match for it because it lacks firepower and shield recharge. These Relorian Gliders are commonly used in large numbers, and even then they are quickly destroy. Their only weapon is three blaze cannons. LIGHT FIGHTER
Relorian Pincer - The Relorian Pincer Destroyer is an often underestimated craft. Although they are destroyed very quickly by Meccalore Battleships, they use their speed to outmanuevre Meccalore Frigates and destroy them. Standard equipping on them includes three blaze turrets, a Relorian Glider bay and three Gliders, and a rocket launcher with ten rockets. A fast enough shield recharge keeps them alive against the more heavily armed Meccalore frigates.
Relorian Assualt Cruiser - Relorian Assualt Cruisers form the backbone of Relorian forces. The Relorian cruiser, unlike the Raken carrier, has an important fighter bay but still holds position as a proper assualt ship itself. It holds six Gliders, which provide support while not actually being able to do much themselves, and is armed with four blaze turrets, and two swivel rocket launchers+20 rockets. Assualt Cruisers are quite a common sight, and this gives the Relorian's there main strength - numbers.

There are many more governments to introduce, but for now could you tell me what you think?

I'll be the Raken. There isn't anything to do yet, without a good map and more information, but I think I'll just say I want to be the Raken, as their light fighters and rebellion status sound cool.

Slight problem. No-one seems to like the idea, SilverDragon.

Come on! It isn't fully set up yet, but could SOMEONE please tell me what they think?
Well, what exactly are you talking about here? It sounds more like you want to develop a plug than an RPG this way. How exactly do you want it to get started? I'm assuming you don't want to make a card game
Rather, you probably want to start something like an Online Text Based RPG, and in that case, you have the right person responding to your post, for I have just a tad bit of experience in dealing with these things.
First of all, you have the right idea, deciding new systems and all that, but it's so much more than that really. You really need to set up a nice site documenting all of this info, come up with an origional way for dealing with everything from fighting to trading to things that will interest people. After you do that, you'll get people to come play.
But truth be told, this has already been done, in different stages. I'm not saying that it wont work, it's just that the novelty has worn off, and I wouldn't like you to spend hours of your time doing something in which no one has taken any interest in.
Personal opinion? I think we have enough RPGs, and don't need, oh let's say, another rip-off of (url="http://"http://www.uevorpg.f2s.com/index2.htm")http://www.uevorpg.f2s.com/index2.htm(/url) But I urge you to go to that site, and if you can offer something truly origional, something that'd be fun to play, than organize it and go for it.
Oh, and when you visit the site, take notice of the name on the first line of it's description

If by RPG you mean webstory, like Red Horizon, Dark Tide, and Reign of Chaos, then I suggest you hold off on it for a bit. The reason nobody is showing interest at the moment is that we've already got two stories going (Dark Tide and Reign of Chaos), and the board really can't sustain more than two stories at once. You story will suffer a lack of interest and participation until Dark Tide ends... which will be soon. So I suggest that you simply put this story on hold, and wait until one of the current stories finishes. It'll work much better that way.
Also, if this is meant to be a webstory, then I suggest that you make rules against developing new technologies, or impose strict limits on doing so. Otherwise you risk having your story end up as a weaponry/technology exhibition, as Reign of Chaos is beginning to seem like...
------------------ A hatch opened up and the aliens said, "We're sorry to learn that you soon will be dead, But though you may find this slightly macabre, We prefer your extinction to the loss of our job."
Oh god yes, Thunder!
In fact it's just a couple of people that started it. I must admit I ended up rushing to compete instead of just denying the posts, since my being not a moderator I felt that people would overrule me if I did so.......
Take RMA, and Arada Pilot, and I suppose me too. I CAN make sensible posts, but I've had some bad experiences with RPGs:
a) Starting Dark Tide to find Carno had 4 Supercruisers. Watching Carno build 2 supercruisers in just a few posts. c) Having RMA come on with half a dozen mad technologies - they're cleverly designed, but too good. d) Putting an "ultimate technology" side in an RPG. No-one should ever do that. It makes the whole game horrible.
I'm going to set up a proper one soon enough, Thunder. In fact, you've convinced me to lay off in the game. I think I'll incinerate 3/4 of my technologies and start doing things properly, to prove to any watchers that I can manage an RPG.
And Jade - Thunder's right. You have a good idea, and and love to command the Raken, but you need a website with this information on, and a map, definately, and you'll have to wait until Dark Tide and Reign of Chaos are finished.
