If you are still counting votes, Captain, my perennial favorite is the Arada. If you can get a Zachit version, so much the better.
There are a number of other ships I enjoy quite a bit, but way back when I first started playing that was the first ship I was able to really build up. I've been a fan of the Arada ever since.

Until a month ago, I would have said the Igazra. But now I finally managed to join the Voinians (first time in my life!) and downloaded the plug-ins Rein Of The Voinians I & II. My vote goes for the Voinian Crusier! It's so nice with upgrades and such. I also have to say that the Frigate sucks. I played with an Arada and finished the "original" Voinian missions. At the plug, I bought a Frigate but Hunter Missiles destroyed me at once, so I bought back my Arada. Do you know that an Arada with four phase cannons and some extra shielding can destroy UE Carriers and Destroyers by simple flying out of their range and destroying them!! The Miranus and Strands could crush the United Earthers in five days if they wanted to! Well my vote goes for the Voinian Crusier anyway. Ain't these polls fun?

Thanks for your vote, Wratho. I'll update the last stats report with your vote. The Voinian Cruiser is an excellent ship, I just wish it wasn't so sluggish. Even with upgrades, it can be a slothful turtle. However, its firepower can be overwhelming...Anyway, good vote.
Yeap, the polls are fun when their aren't too many of them.
I hate to be a lone wolf here, but my vote is to the Crescent Fighter.
With various equipping, it can beat everything but an Igazra, which you can beat with a good Shadow hit (see my Tactics forum) and it is almost unbeatable with the Exp. Shield Generator, matching warships toe to toe, and getting more out of the shield generator than any warship could.

I've flown quite a few good ships in my time. The crescent fighter, the freight-courier, and the scoutship (for non-combat purposes). I know this may get me lynched, but I'm not especially fond of the Arada, I had one briefly, but upgraded to a freight-courier in short order.
But my favorite ship has to be the UE cruiser. My cruiser, the StarCrusher, carries UE and crescent fighters, an obscene number of blaze weapons, every engine upgrade imaginable, four shield enhancers, and dospect armor, all with no space expansions of any kind (well maybe one, I can't remember). Nothing east of Voinian space even presents a challenge to me, and the only things that I might not necessarily beat quickly are the dreadnought and the Disco Bison.

Yes, well, I usually name my ships "StarStrafer" followed by whatever number ship it is for that pilot. But when I got my cruiser, I decided it deserved a name that declares, "shoot me and I will distribute your molecules throughout the sector," while maintaining some pretense of subtlety. Not that there's anything subtle about a UE cruiser in MAGMA.
I like a UE Cruiser or an Azdara with upgraded shields.
