What names do you use for your ships. The names that I use are:
UE Cruiser - Tornado
Voinian Cruiser - Diesector
Azdgari Warship - El Dieblo ------------------
(This message has been edited by UE General (edited 03-18-2001).)
Really just whatever I'm thinking about at the time.. often to do with the look of the ship - had a Lazira called Go-Faster Striper, a Miranu Courier called Happy Chappy, and a UE Cruiser called Blunderbus, for example. Often to do with music I'm listening to at the time - had a couple of ships called the Wild Mood Swing and the Two Chord Cool when listening to The Cure.
And sometimes for fun, just Sir - then it goes: Sir, you're cleared to land... :).

Zidara - Avenger, and Inferno
UE cruiser - Avenger, and IronFist

The Triton Corsair.
UE Bali Hi for a non-like war vessel (A Courier)
UE StarDust or Pandora for a War Vessel
But normally ends up as USS Enterprize or USS Voyager.

What kind of ships do you name them? I need to know.
Why do you NEED to know?
The government's first letter and then E.S. (earth ship) and Killer is the last part.

I stick with the name that popped in my head one day for the main reason that its original - "Galinia".

These days, practically every ship I fly is named the Alpha Omega; which stands for "The beginning and the end."
I usually take the default name for my Shuttle at the beginning of the game. For my Scoutship and Arada I like the name S.S. Skittles (the first time I named a ship that I happened to be eating some. I like the name so much now I use it all the time). I don't always move on to a larger ship, but if I do I come up with a name on the spot. For U.E. Cruisers I've used U.E.S. Liberty and U.E.S. Yorktown (my home town). I usually name Voinian Cruisers V.E.S. Tempest.
Oh, and one I had an Igazra, which I named the I.S.S. Genitalia.

I have many different names for my ships, but they always starts with N.S.. they used to start with N.D.S. but then I realized that the D was antiquated and silly, so I took it out. Recently, I have been naming all my ships the N.S. Variable.

As a writer who trys to come up with interesting and original names for each ship he gets, I often run out of ideas. So, when I had my current pilot start I named my shuttle the Sporkster (b/c James Brass is my P.C.'s name in the Order of the Spork) and when I moved up to a Scout I named mine the Spork Scout. Then when I got a Helian I named her the Hell Raiser. My Freight-Courier I named Super Spork and now I'm testing the ships in my plug, and they don't count (well . . . I named the mobile suit I'm testing now, the Zero One. All you Gundam WIng fans should understand that one :D).

Crescent Fighter: Vanilla Icing (yum!)
I start off calling my shuttle Starbug 1, then if I move up to another frieghter, it's Starbug 2, and so on, unless I think of something better at the time. Any other ship I usually call Wolverine, then go to Wolverine II, III, IV, and so on. I started again recently, and I think I'll stick with my scoutship for a while longer. Just me and my shipmate, alone in deep space...
Slinky.

I do that too. Onve I get my Arada I name it the N.S. Variable. If/when I upgrade to a lazira it becomes the N.S. Variable II. If/when I upgrade o a CW, it becomes the N.S. Variable III. My next ship (if there is one) would be the N.S. Variable IV. It continues until I find a better name. Sometimes I don't, and I get really high numbers.
Igadzra: I.E.S. Firestorm (Since I had the Plasma Siphon)

I have named several of my ships Startide.

That's a pretty good name, which makes me think of another one: Star Strider.
