I am going to start a new game with the trinity plug-in with a aim to be powerfull enough to beat the sea gaints. Which is the best charactor Ranger, Wizard and Swordsman. Any hints would be welcome.

My favorite is the ranger. His alchemist skills are really cool (especially the Lavunith powder/range attack strategy and the earth mole skill). The Great Bow of Vyro alone (that you get later in the game - for a serious price) makes it just too cool.
But again, that's my preferences. Dan (the designer here at Beenox) likes the conjurer better while Pascal (the 3D guru) is enjoying the swordsman more.

I would agree with Dee. I've played all three characters and the Ranger is my favorite. Even if you don't like range-type weapons, the great Wolf Claws do 40-80 damage and more than make up for the fact that Rangers can't wear the best armor.
Of course, the Earthquake spell of the Conjurer has no equal for clearing a screen quickly -- it just takes TONS of magic power to do it. I like to play using the keyboard and have found the magic interface a bit cumbersome.
Cheers!
I third the Ranger opinion. The Ranger is just plain cool. I don't know why; maybe it's because the Ranger can use a bow. The Conjurer probably has the most potential, but is the most annoying. It would be really good, but you can't get very good weapons or armor, ao you have to rely a lot on your spells; and you can't use the spells you need very often, because you never have enough MP. I think the only reason I don't like the Swordsman more is because I played PoG 1.0 too much. But this isn't supposed to be about my opinion. If you choose the Swordsman or Ranger, you won't be beating Sea Giants until you either turn ninety-eight or you steal one of AAC's saved games. If you want to have it easy in the beginning, choose the Swordsman or Ranger; if you want to blast five Sea Giants into oblivion at once, choose the Conjurer.

My first and only PoG character has been/is a Ranger, and it r0x0rz some serious monster b0x0rz. Although he can't wear the absolute best armor or use the absolute best weapons, the Ranger makes up for this with his alchemical skillz and specialty in ranged reapons. Why charge into the heat of battle, when you can whip the heat of battle's butt upside down before it reaches you?

I have to agree. The Ranger is really fun.The Conjurer is to dependent on spells and the Swordsman isn't creative enough. The Ranger provides the best of both worlds. However, the Conjurer does get a really cool cape.

you press V and select through the levels of spells you have leaned, hit cast and there you go, unless it needs to be aimed, then you select your target with the mouse. once its selected, you can fast cast it with the C key. The ranger usualy needs herbs and other items to cast spells, while the conjuror needs Magic points.
Oh, and many of the ranger spells result in a potion being added to your inventory. Then once you use the potion, the casting is complete.
sorry about being unregisted, my cable modem went out.
I have been playing both a conjurer and i have him at level 14 now, but he still seems like the weakest of the classes. What level spell is earthquake and when/how is it possible for me to kill 5 sea giants at once?
p.s. I have seen that some of you have 150+ on some stats. How is this possible? Is there some technique i am missing? My highist score on my level 22 swordsman is 25.
