what do you have to do before you can do the free huron missions? I have a combat rating of dangerous, and my legal status is role model, but i can't get the missions.
You might not recognize the missions at first. I think the string starts with some kind of investigation of the Troub system. And I also believe you have to have started the UE central objective. Hold on a minute while I check out the data files.

As I suspected! You have to complete the "Rescue Scoutship Crew" mission for the UE. Then go to Huron, you should be taken to the Governor's office and get a mission called "Destroy Renegade Fleet."
Where do you get the rescue scoutship crew mission?
Any UE planet. (With a bar, of course.)
I always find that the hardest part of that mission string is deciding who the bad guys are (other than the renegades, of course).
