AI pilot to Human pilot ratio

I have a hypothesis. I think that for certain ships, lets take the Crescent Warship for example, there is an almost definite ratio of how many ships of that type can be destroyed by the player if the player is using the same ship before the player her/himself is destroyed. So for the Crescent Warship, I think the ratio is around 3:1. But there are 2 catagories for this, equally armed and custom outfit. Equally armed would be if the player's ship were armed with the default, nothing more, nothing less. Custom outfit would entail the ship being used to it's full potential by selling most of the useless crap that comes with the ship an gettin some decent weapons. So the custom outfit ratio would be considerable higher. For the CW, I'd say like ummmm 10:1? Wada you guys think?

I think it depends on the pilot more than anything. When I first started playing EVO, I could only beat a Helian in a Helian if there were some militia vessals helping me. Now, I could proably take out helians in a 10:1 ratio, not custom outfitted. Custom outfitted, almost *:1. So, I don't think there is any real ratio - it all depends on the player.

What do you mean? Are you talking about just taking ships head on, or using the monty python on them? If it's heads on, it's definately not 10:1... and if it's the monty python, it's much more.....

I'm talkling about using other manuvers. I personally consider the Monty Python cheating.

Why's that?

It exploits a weakness in the AI. My opinion anyway. (though that doesn't stop me from doing it, often.)

If you could only just duke it out head on with AI, the game wouldn't be very exciting... and playing on strict play would be virtually impossible. All you can really do in the game is exploit the enemy with your greater speed.

The randomness of the human element makes this ratio impossible. The only way it could occur is if the player believes it could, allowing the power of suggestion to make him or her subconsciously keep track of the ships they destroy and decide to lose once the ratio has been achieved. In other words, you would be killing yourself on purpose to force this ratio to work without even knowing it! But there's still no way it could be built into the game itself as you described. You could program it to blow you up after a certain number and type of kills, but I don't think that's what you meant.

------------------
The last time I was on this board, the price of dumb questions was really high.

With upgrades, the ratio of kill can easily be infinity:1.

Speed allows for spearing, which makes your ship invincible - until
you mess up, or unless you fight an Igazra / UE Destroyer / Lazira.

Then again, who uses any of those ships? The Crescent Fighter is the best!

I can take 20 or so other Crescent Fighters with my upgraded one, with
even getting hit or paying much attention to what it going on.

------------------

Eh. . . In a lot of ways yeah. . . But only for an intermediate player (like I consider myself), for a really truly experienced player the CW ratio is basically infinity:1. And the novice it's 0:1.
