MODERATION: I'm changing what happened to Outpost Zachit. One docking bay, part of the central core, and about a third of the station survived. Entropy's bombers did nothing more than slow repairs. **
I also hope Alien isn't leaving, but I wouldn't blame him if he did. Your last moderation post is reason enough; he had to leave the story before you gave him the fair moderation he deserved all along. I know you've tried to be impartial, but you've repeatedly revoked or downsized Zacha counter-attacks on the renegades, upheld a blockade that is completely implausable (if they only came out of cloak to attack their shields would be down, and with their shields down even a small Zacha patrol or a well armed convoy would inflict heavy losses), you heavily slanted your Zachit Station ruling toward the renegades, and then revoked Alien's counter-attack on The Rock (despite the fact that Entropy himself posted that it's speed was "abominal" and the fact that it's not exactly easy to hide something that large).
And then, without giving any reason other than "there are inevitably leaks," you claim to know everything the Terminus group told me. Besides, how are there security leaks in a remote mountain valley in the most distant corner of Miranu space, when the only people around are Zidagar (who are not on good terms with renegades or Corocians)? Not plausable.
I know you're trying to be impartial, but you could be doing a better job of it. Please, in your moderations, try not to be so biased in favor of your allies.
------------------ If you hadn't screwed up my past, your future wouldn't be like this!
even though I would dearly like one of those crystals I am inclined to agree with Thunder
------------------ --The Eye is Upon you-- If you look long enough the Sun isn't that bright.
I agree with Thunder and Kiwi, and I would like to add another thing. Several attacks you made lately have not given opponents a chance to post their reaction. That is a direct fracture of the thread rules. But hey, being a moderator is a tough job. Let's not pick on Carno too much. Even the best are known to cheat a little, when the stakes are high. Myself included. But still, Carno, try to be a little more equal in your rulings. If you think that a certain decision is correct, than make it. But if you are just using your moderator power to help your allies, than please reconsider your decisions. I'm not talking about anything specific, just in general.
Hey, I just realized that Thunder is much more eloquent than I am. I'll leave this to him.

Zidagar? Help me? Who said they would help me? I never said anything about that. As you all should know, the Corocians are excellent spys, and it seems that it would be quite easy to learn about the Terminus Group and Terminus Crystal. However, to be fair, I'll change one thing; I only know that the Terminus Group and Terminus Crystal exist, but nothing more. Okay?
Second, how about this for the Rock: Half of it was blow apart but then it escaped. Better?
Thirdly, I'll try to be more realistic and impartial. Fourth, I won't have my ships cloaked anymore, but you do realize that shields only go down when you first activate. They slowly regenerate even though you're cloaked. But still, I'll have it so they won't be cloaked anymore. However, that doesn't really matter to me now, because I already have bases in a lot of strategic locations.
Everybody happy now?
----------------
The refit on the Demon and Apollyon is complete. They are now 6 kilometers long and have enhanced shield regeneration capabilities as well as some extra addons. Scorcher is still working on the new cloaking devices.
Admiral Rosut is now assembling a large task force in certain areas for the attacks Carnotaur had ordered. It would take a while, but he could do it.

Um... it doesn't matter that half the rock was blown apart, as my secret base is located deep in the Ji nebula, where there are lots of random bits of asteroid and ore floating arouns. The rock has mostly been rebuilt, but it will take three more days before it is operational.
------------------ THE TRUTH IS OUT THERE! (Lies are in your head.)
Ji Nebula? Entropy, my ships are all over the Ji Nebula, and I already have 5 bases in it. And how come you didn't tell Carnotaur? He can be trusted.
<Message to Carnotaur><Encryption Level 1463> You are forgetting that the Ji nebula is largely unexplored. In addition, I could not risk enemy agents intercepting any messages under the encryption technology I was working with when I settled the base. <end message>
Obviously some bombers would be lost in the attack on Zachit station. I just forgot to mention it, but they were pretty much expendable.

The Iotheans have almost finished their working prototype. They have entirely dissasembled the old Nadir and a long, large ship's skeleton is rising out of the constrructionfacility where they and the construction crew work.
I'm attacking Unobot with a large fleet in hopes of eliminating opposition to renegades entirely in the South tip. (besides the Igadzra) Whether they succeed or fail will be made known tomorrow.
<Message to Entropy, Kiwi, and Voinian Empire> <Encryption Level Sierra Tango 527> <Entropy, Voinian Emporer, and Kiwi, I need to meet you two on F-25 immediately! The fate of our governments may rest in what we discuss at this meeting.> <End Message>

Admiral Rosut has finished putting together his fleet. Her are the specs:
Attack on Queird - Corocian 11th Fleet-20 ships/Renegade 8th Fleet-29 ships/Azdgari 21st Fleet-50 ships
Attack on Pozdag - Corocian 12th Fleet-10 ships/Renegade 80th Fleet-30 ships/Azdgari 22nd Fleet-51 ships
Attack on Tmidor - Corocian 13th Fleet-9 Ships/Renegade 2nd Fleet-21 ships/Renegade 102nd Fleet-23 ships
Attack on Hizdriar - Corocian 14th Fleet-8 ships/Renegade 72nd Fleet-34 ships/Voinian 200th Fleet - 19 ships
Attack on Saalia - Voinian 7th Fleet-42 ships/Corocian 15th Fleet-9 ships
Attan on Priat - Voinian 8th Fleet-11 ships/Renegade 3rd Fleet-20 ships/Corocian 1st Fleet-30 ships
During the meeting between Carnotaur, Entropy, Kiwi, and the new Voinian Emporer Borb Jr. :D, Carnotaur will ask for the Azdgari, Voinian, and Renegade fleets already listed above.
UE Scientists, after hard labor, have produced an incredibly efficient energy fluxuation capactior. This marvel of engineering is easily capable of controlling and directing the energies of the UE's crystal into a much more focused and powerful beam, and it is estimated that it could control a crystal of over twice the power of the UE's crystal, if such a thing existed.
A new UE Supercruiser design is being created to provide a better accomodation than the captured Dreadnought for the Crystal Weapon.
Finally! UE Science Corps has developed a serum that can counter the affects of the Renegade bio-weapon. It can be used to purify regions that have been devastated by the biological menace, and it can cure living things that are dying from it.
(Since Alien seems to have quit the story, I'll take the liberty of controlling a small Zachit patrol.)
Thunder arrives in the Mirava system, where he sees a patrol of four Zachit aradas already in orbit. Hearing a beeping in his pocket, Thunder pulls out the scanner Salvane gave him, and sees that the crystal is indeed in the system, somewhere on Mira's northern continent. Radioing to the Zachit in or bit to join him, Thunder pilots the Affirmation low over the rolling hills and lakes of Mira until he comes upon a large complex. The scanner registers that the Terminus Crystal is in one of the buildings north of the main building. Thunder and the Zacha land, and dozens of Zacha troops pour out of the aradas. Phase Pistols drawn, they storm the building, and come out less than 5 minutes later with a scowling Keldran Syril handcuffed and at gunpoint.
Still holding the scanner, Thunder leads the Zacha forces to a vault in a side building, and leads them to a large safe. After blasting open the safe with their pistols, the Zacha pry it open and pull out a brilliantly deep blue crystal identical to the others, but much larger. "This is it?" One asked.
"That's it," Thunder replied. "The Terminus crystal."
-------------
Thirty minutes later, Keldran Syril had been taken into custody, and Thunder spoke with the Zachit commander.
"We've had enough trouble getting the other crystal you gave us to work. We've got too much to do holding back the renegades to work on another. But I hear the UE has had some luck in producing an energy source compatible with your crystal. Maybe you should try giving the Terminus Crystal to them for now. They can help us use it to defend against the renegades!"
"Okay, I'll relay a message to them." Thunder replied.
MESSAGE TO SAMURAI<<< Encryption sequence confirmed, level 7 encryption active
Samurai, a lot has happened since I left for Kirrim. I've captured a rogue Miranu buisnessman and come into possession of the Terminus Crystal, a crystal far more powerful that the one I gave you already. The Zacha suggest that you work with them to construct a weapon from this one as well. Please send a detachment of UE ships to Mira to pick up the crystal, as I won't be able to return through the blockade. I await their arrival.
Thunder out.
END MESSAGE<<<
(Alien - If you're reading this and you haven't quit, just post saying so and I'll edit my post and give the Terminus Crystal to the Zachit instead. I just offered it to the UE since I thought you'd quit.)
(This message has been edited by Thunder (edited 03-03-2001).)
I'll assume Entropy, Kiwi, and Voinian Emporer Borb Jr. have acknowledged my message and are now on F-25.
---------------
During the meeting, Carnotaur laid out the plans for the upcoming attacks, what they were for, how much of a chance that they would succeed, how many ships each government would have to contribute, etc.
Borb agreed, unless Kiwi posts I'll assume he agrees as well, but will Entropy agree? I need a reply fast.
MESSAGE TO THUNDER LEVEL NINE ENCRYPTION CONFIRMED
We will send a detachment of ships through the warpgate to Mira, carrying some of our best scientists and our power capacitor. We will work with the Zacha to fashion a weapon from this amazingly powerful crystal, and it may help us greatly if the Corocians and Renegades persist in their incursions. We have deposited 2 million credits into your account for your recent services to the United Earth Government.

A cloaked UE fighter pilots through the Ji Nebula. Strange sensor equipment on his vessel is scanning the dampening field surrounding the Ji Nebula. Once his observations have been completed, he transmits the data to the UE and steers himself back into Miranu/Zachit space.
"One of the new wepons of the UE's I dissabled a small ship just after it was battling a Voinian ship. Then I boarded it and took two of the new wepons. I will keep one for myself and sell one to you for five mabye six milloin credits do we have a deal?"

----------------- Also Carnotaur how is your karma "blessed"?
60.85 million, growing by 2.2 million/day <Message to Carnotaur><Secure transit channel 457 activation code 457 accepted> I will allow those fleets to go, although the ship numbers in the fleet vary wildly depending on how many renegades join, leave at random, are "in the mood," etc. I will personally accompany the 72nd fleet on it's attack on Hizdriar in the Shadowfax In addition, Proxima Presley, leader of the Captains of Freeport, has agreed that the Human renegade 54th fleet will aid you in the attack on Saalia (27 ships, mainly dragons with full compliments of Vipers.) <End message>
The new Human renegade ship design was finally revealed at the 145th renegade swap-mmet on Gorky today, with the promise that it will "make all current designs obsolete." It is long but thickish with 8 large, lengthy fins sticking out of the tail end at geometiric angles. It rather resembles an Igazra, although longer, thinner, faster, and with fighter bays.
It has shields of about 700 (I can't be totally exact as I don't use EV-edit stats and therefore am unfamiliar with them, but the new warship has less shields than an Igazra but more than a Crescent warship.) It's a little faster than a Crescent warship, with about the same handling. It has good armor, due to the use of Tungsten alloy (wolfram). It has 4-5 blaze turrets, a phased beam (time to catch up with the latest weaponry, ay the scientists,) Hunter missiles, and two bays for ships that do not, currently exist. The designers are working hard to build these fighters, but they will not be done for two days realtime- the same time the new ship, the Anaconda goes into production. The new fighters will be called Asps
UE scientists can NOT have found a cure for the bacteria, as it does not kill people directly. It is an extremely corrosive strain that essentially rusts right through nonliving and living material unselectively. The only substances that can hold it back are platinum, (ironic, huh?), molybdenum, cesium, most rocks except for limestone, chalk, or shale, or solidified nitric acid.

Carnotaur"it is great that you agree Kiwi"
Kiwi"glad to help a friend, but a know I would like to ba able to take over some Igadzra systems, will you let me?"
waiting for reply
Unobot has fallen under the combined forces of Human and ST renegades... just another pebble before the avalanche... I would also like to capture some Igadzra systems, especially those near Human and ST renegade space...
Captain Blackwing, I'm a mod on the EV Banter & Brawl. That is how I got my "Blessed" status.
Samurai, how could your ship have gotten into the Ji Nebula undetected? There is only so many ways to get into the Ji Nebula in the first place, and I already have them guarded. You must explain in detail how you got into the nebula before continuing.
Carnotaur: "Kiwi, you can take Mordus, and maybe Innirian. Entropy, you can take Motif. The Voinians are also adding 8 ships to each of the fleets that they are brining now that the Emalgha are conquered. We will begin immediately. Ready your fleets, report that to me, and we will commence the attack."
Scorcher I awate your responce.
