OK, I'm thinking of trying a complicated trick to see if I can get EVO playing on my PC. has anybody tried putting a stable, confined, Mac enviroment on a PC before? If so It'd save me a decent amount of trouble and alot of worrying.

Yeah, there's a program called executor which does that. I don't remember the website offhand, search for it, it's there.

The response time of this board is amazing. Thanks man.
Hmm...nowhere to be found.
(url="http://"http://www.ardi.com")Ardi.com(/url) has it, I think. I don't use it myself, but a lot of people have asked this question before.

I never like Executor much. SoftMac http://www.emulators.com/ is a great one. They are even planning OS X. For a little cheaper(free) vMachttp://www.leb.net/vmac/ would be best.
Thanks, appriciate it.
There's a pretty good Mac eumlator called Fusion which might work out for you. A friend of mine had his wintel machine booting straight to MacOS, and he claimed it was more stable than it had ever been before. He used it that way for word processing. Fusion supports devices such as PC sound cards, printers, scanners... it's not at all bad. Not as fast as any real Mac, but that might not be a problem for a game with low system requirements such as EV:O.

It doesn't work, the ardi.com one, once you load EVO nothing appears on screen, also screen updates every around ..300 seconds.
You have to hit Ctrl-Shift-5 and set the screen update to animation rather than normal.

OK, I figured this topic was a couple pages back by now, whos the one that dug it up? I have softmac and fusion now. Nethier will work until I get back to the outdated macs of my school and get a ROM image file from an old Mac OS (we have a unkown ex-pricipal who actually bought macs for the majority of school computers, were still trying to update them to PCs but have such a low budget we doubt it will ever be completed anyway, back to the topic). So I have to wait till Spring Break is over.

Did it not work warbeast?

Nope, I think your mac OS is too up-to-date. The ROM Image file has to be 1 MB max, the one you sent me was 4 MB.
From Fusion ReadMe: ** FUSION has been tested with many different 512K and 1MB ROM images, however, due to the numerous changes Apple has made over the years, it is possible that you could have a ROM that is not supported by Fusion PC. This will include the 1MB Macintosh IIvx, 2MB Quadra AV, and all 4MB PowerPC ROMs. Most of these other ROMs are supported using the SoftMac 2000 emulator. To avoid problems, only use ROMs (image files) having one of the following checksums (as shown in the ROM selection menu):
512K - $3193670E $350EACF0 $35C28C8F $368CADFE $36B7FB6C $4147DD77
1MB - $06684214 $064DC91D $3DC27823 $4147DD77 $420DBFF3 $E33B2724 $ECBBC41C $ECD99DC0 $F1A6F343 $F1ACAD13 $FF7439EE **
