note: you need the elven bow of destruction to do this.
1. Go to Reefs Island.
2. From the boat go one screen east and one screen south.
3. Find the place surrounded by rocks which has a chest and two sacks in it.
4. Go inside and kill eny enemies inside. Take the elven bow of destruction and equip it. Now stand in the middle of the sacks and the chest and save.
5. Now reload the saved file and stay where you are and kill any enemies around you. Now when you are standing in the middle of the sacks walk east until you get a message saying a observer saw you. Now stand in the middle of the sacks and chest. Now face north and walk up to the rocks in front of you and shoot. Keep shooting until all the enemies are dead(if their there) then go out and collect the booty. Save and reload and do it again!

You need to be in the third level of the learning tree and look up "reef". Then go to the boat guy in berglum then do the quest he gives you. The thives are one screen south from berglum.
I prefer the Dwarven Runic Sword and the Lilith shield. BTW, this tip was already spilled in another post awhile back. I like the sword better because it has a higher damage rating than the bow. Mike

You use the bow to shoot THROUGH the rocks.
You don't have to go through the whole save/reload cycle if the techno plugin is also active. A switch to and then from techno space "resets" the area just as well.
