Is there a mission string for Frontier Express?

And if so, where does it start?

I don't think that there is one, but I am pretty sure that you can join them, and get missions from the mission computers from them. I unfortunately forget how to join Frontier Express.

I don't think there is a Frontier Express mission string.

The only vaguely relevant thing I am aware of is that Gribs produced a plug ( (url="http://"http://www.grybs.com/evo/plugs.html")http://www.grybs.com/evo/plugs.html(/url) ) called QuitFE which stops you from being approached by Frontier Express representatives in bars. Apparently it bothers some folks when they get asked to do low-paying cargo runs late in the game. So, I guess Frontier Express sets a mission bit or two, but rumours of a top-secret plot involving Anna Balshova's estranged lover, the first sentient fuzzes, a plan to redecorate council station, the bounty hunters' union and an urgent shipment of Azdgari mango juice ...are just rumours.

There is no Frontier Express string per say. You can get offered missions from them after doing the entry mission which can be received in the bar on their base planet (same system that other trading company is in).

FE's home planet is Crockett in the Thoso system (Eastern side of UE space). Once you have done the recruitment mission they will randomly offer you missions from UE planets. They pay well for freigt hauling but are mind-numbingly boring and by the time you are ready to take on the Voinians in runs to the fronteir most people prefer to start taking them on in the Vorik system or similar places.

The only thing really special about FE is that their repeating missions come in bars. This also makes them the most annoying company in the game; their stupid missions can sometimes stop the exceedingly rare Anna Balashova missions and such things from appearing.

Jude,

Why do you want to know?

FE plays a big role in my plug-in Hypertrophy, but I am not sure if thats what you mean.

Because I'm a peaceful trader! 🆒 I'm looking for more trading type missions and storylines. Is your plug-in completed and available on the add-ons page yet?
Tell me more about it, in any case.

Wrongo! Spaceport bar missions like that don't PREVENT missions like the Anna Balashova missions, all you do is click the spaceport bar again and the mission (whatever mission would be there instead of the FE mission) will come up. It's that simple.

static Cap'n whatr my orders? static ESPilot: "Get half the fighter wing, fly behind the Igadzra, and fire phase cannons at full power up that ship's ass!!" static "Uh, cap'n, whaddya consider a ship's ass?" static ESPilot: The engines!! The engines!!" static "Oh well that makes sense at least" static

Actually, ESPilot, if you say no, and then re-enter the bar, they will still offer it. What you do is say yes, exit, and then enter for the mission you want. After you get what you want, just dump FE!

I think you can just say no and stay in the bar, missions will come up anyway (I think ;)).

:waits at his computer screen for 3 and a half hours, waiting for a second mission to pop-up:

Nope. Doesn't work. 🙂

Renegade Infestation?
Meet me in the bar.

I sometimes get offered two missions in one visit to a planet. You always seem to get the more mundane one first, such as taking supplies to an outpost, and then the more exciting one... I don't believe I have ever missed out on an important mission simply because I have been offered something else first.

And Jude... peaceful trader? Wow... My pilots always start that way, but too many folks tick them off and they end up as gun-toting loonies.

Well, the renegades are starting to annoy me. I've begun to shoot back sometimes rather than just try to run the gauntlet all the time and hope I make it.
