OK, I read the Blasphemous Balashova topic, and I wanna do the mission so I can get a UE Cruiser. After reading it, I went to Knox and went to the bar. And it asked me to do a mission involving pirates which led me to a sting of missions that got me nothing but a needle jammer and had ABSOLUTELY NOTHING TO DO WITH ANNA. Please help!!

Cool. But, do you mean kill stuff in Mestor? Because there's no renegeades there.
Try going to Anna's homeworld, New Taranto.
Yes, I made that mistake too. Go to New Taranto, not Knox. You have to have an "Honor Leader" or "Pillar of Society" (I think) rating in the system, and it also takes a bit of luck, as with all major missions.

Uhh umm scratch what I said. I need to know something: I got the mission to investigate in Mestor where Anna was attacked by renegades, but when I jumped into the system a small band of renegades jumped in also, so I took them out easy enough, then landed on Knox. Nothing. I go to the bar. NOTHING. What am I supposed to do???
Hang out in bars on near by pirate systems. This should be a good enough tip. I hope this is your next required step. I know you have to do this somewhere along the Anna mission line.

Go to New Taranto, not Knox.
