I was just wondering how much the rest of the EV fans out there play this addictively fun game. I mean how many hours per sitting? Often mcb's ship's phrase has been said at the appropriate time.

I play EVO a lot. I've already dominated half the galaxy, have an invincible Voinian Cruiser, with 2 AW escorts, 3 Igazra escorts, and 1 Voinian Cruiser escort, and I have over 200 Million credits.
------------------ To Escape Velocity: Nova and Beyond! -------------- Millennium. Its coming, prepare for it. Coming to the (url="http://"http://www.ambrosiaSW.com/games/ev/chronicles.html")EV Chronicles(/url).
I always start a new pilot way before I get to that point. I just find the game too boring when I'm totally invincible.
Sometimes, I'll make a copy of my pilot and trade in my giant warship for a light fighter. It may not be able to take out any ship, but it's awesome. And I'll be able to get about every upgrade possible for it, as I'll have about 10 Million from trading in my old ship.

Almost never. The mach in my house has been moved to my little brothers room, and we have a somewhat stupid rule saying we can't go in each others room unless we are invited. But I am working on a pilot, currently tradeing Fertiseler(sp?) and food, Centari-Liat. I've almost got a mil. Pathetic, when in another pilot file, I have counquerd most of the galaxy, or could if I had the time and wanted to.

Wasn't that the pilot file in which you had a Voinian Dreadnaught? I heard you talking about something like that.
I don't play as often as I used to because of time constraints. But when I do play, I always make sure I have at least several hours free (It's hard to quit!). I still play EV, too. Jude

The defense of the Hinwar and Emalgha is a never resting matter. Ev only goes off when my computer does. However a lot of the time I simply have it on the opening scene hidden, but i can get on it quickly and play for a while then get off. I still am looking for a better game, Rainbow six has come close however it takes up my CD-Rom drive so I don't keep it running.
