Just wanted to know how to join the Voinians and the quickest way to do it. Your responses are greatly appreciated. I do not know how George W. got into office.

Well, get yourself a dangerous combat rating or better, but don't work for the UE very much. The farthest you want to go with the UE is running the Voinian blockade. After that, don't do missions for the UE, and go to Pax station. If you get lucky in the bar, some Voinian soldiers will strike up a conversation with you. Just make sure you have a good ship, because the Voinian's first mission aren't very easy ones...

Just want to point something out so you're not stuck, unable to do voinian missions. If you complete the ue mission "Rescue Voinian Defector," where you run the blockade, you won't get offered the mission on Pax.

Hmmm...It seems like I remember being able to run the blockade, but wasn't able to do any mission following that for the UE to be able to work for the Voinians...
that doesn't close too many doors does it? i was assuming that you could never get a vonian mission and went ahead with the "rescue the vonian defector" one.
I'm afraid completing the first voinian defector mission closes the door forever on the voinian mission strings (unless you do a little hacking, of course ). You can even get the first voinian mission offered to you while at Pax, in the middle of the defector mission, but not after. You can take a look for yourself.
