OK I have a question here (apologies if someone asked it first). I'm flying along in my Aggy Warship that I pinched from somewhere and trying to do the Ziggy mission string. Anyway all these Zidaras keep trying to blast me because I'm flying an Aggy ship. My question is, are the Aggys going to blast me as well because I'm helping the Ziggys or leave me alone 'cause my ship is Azdagari. Seems a little odd that all three strands hate me when I only shoot two on sight. Thanks.

The answer to your question is yes, all three of the strands will keep blasting away at your ship, even if you only shoot two on sight.
Some ships, such as the Azdgari Warship, have inherent government tags. If you're flying an Azdgari warship, the Zidagar and the Igadzra will shoot at you, because you're flying an Azdgari ship. If you've been shooting at Azdgari, they'll attack you as well, because you probably have a bad legal record in their territory.
The best solution to this problem is to either get a neutral ship such as a crescent warship, or to get a ship of the strand you're working for. Otherwise you'll have to keep fighting off all three of them.

Thunder is quite right, same goes for the UE and Voinians! Read my post in 'Lucky captures'... The UE attacks all Voinian class vessals, and the Voinians attack all UE vessals... but neither will attack a crescent vessal.

If you want a quick fix, I recommend the (url="http://"http://www.ambrosiasw.com/cgi-bin/vftp/dl-redirect.pl?path=evo/plugins&file;=EVOGovtFixer1.0.sit.hqx")EVO Government Fixer(/url) set of plug-ins. If you install the plug-in for whatever government you're working for, then ships belonging to that government can't harm you, nor can you harm them. It's a bit of a cheat, but it seems unfair that flying a captured enemy ship should make your allies attack you. Also, in case you were wondering, the inherent transponder codes don't seem to matter for your escorts. I've flown into Sol with a great big ugly captured Voinian cruiser at my side, and even the customs officers didn't raise an eyebrow....

Hmmmmm....... Maybe you should down load a plug in that will make it so that you can't shoot at them and they can't shoot at you. Or you could just get a Zagar ship. Do you have a good legal status in the Zagar space? 'couse that might affect it.

I've basically discovered that if you are in any ship that is an ememy of the race you are working for, (Say you have a Voinian frigate in UE space for instance) you will ALWAYS get shot at about 5 or 10 seconds after you've entered the system. That is always very frustrating. I wouldn't mind owning my own Voinian cruiser working with the UE. (I would give it a couple of upgrades, though)

Drat! Leave the boards for a few days and look what happens. Hmmm I could buy a Zidara but I don't really like them much. Does anyone know how to get the Government Fixer to work properly, last time I tried a rather upset UE Destroyer blew me into the middle of next week. Still I love my shiny new Arada so it'll do me for now. Thanks to all.
