Can't remember. Have you done all the sidequests? And I do mean all of them? How many NPCs are still alive? The very last mission is the infamous "blow up the Black Hole unabortable fail and the universe does explode" mission.

You're about one third of the way through.

Be careful on the black hole mission. Back up your pilot (make a copy of your pilot file)as soon as you see the words "black hole" in a mission briefing, and frequently thereafter. I suggest being on top of the black hole when you drop the bomb. It'll kill you, but you can eject and get a new ship.
