help with gemulator

Has anyone had any sucess with it. I cant even install the drivers to run it. I always says that a device attached to the system is not working.

Good god no. Never use gemulator. The company that makes it is run by a putz. Use Basilisk II instead.

I haven't used Gemulator or Basilisk but I've had luck with Executor. The shareware version is downloadable from Ardi's website. There's no sound but EVO will run.

SoftMac ( (url="http://"http://www.emulators.com/")http://www.emulators.com/(/url) ) is also a good emulator that runs a real MacOS. I had an old shareware version with a RAM limit that prevented EVO from running, but I've heard they've upped that limit.

Well I've given up on gemulator. I tried softmac, but I dont have a ROM card. Balisk has me running in circles and it probably requires a ROM card as well. And I used up the time limit on Executor. Oh well, looks like i'm gonna have to buy it.

Eh? SoftMac doesn't require a ROM card. It comes with a software utility that extracts your Mac's ROM into a file which SoftMac can read. I got as far as booting up Mac OS 8 on my Athlon from the CD, but it didn't detect my Mac-formatted 2GB disk image which I had told SoftMac to use as a SCSI device, so I couldn't install it :frown:
