spell help

im a ranger n i havent quite figured out how to use the spells i gain every 2 levels, so how do i?

The ranger uses herbs for his spells, the ingredients are listed in the spell book with button V, you just need to buy some herbs.

well i bought the herbs from the herbalist north of fantrima (to make the potion of luck - level 2 spell, level 7 ranger), but the 'cast' button is still greyed out. why?

and what does luck actually do, anyway? i'm guessing better stuff from fallen badguys - is that right?

you also need a Healing infusion potion.

and ya, luck just gets you better stuff.

yah, got the healing infusion too. got 3 of each just to make sure. the cast button is greyed out still. what else might i need to do?

anyways yeah, i had that problem too. its a typo in the game. its not a healing infusion, its jus the simple potion, the one that gives 12 hp back...

BTW... the potion is really quite a steal for it lasts less than a minute.
