I agree with daedalus. Oh, and daedalus, will you or will you not help the Rogue take over Qerid?
-Nova6
------------------ Long live the Rebellion!
Rooster, if you are so interested in getting scientific facts right, then you should OBVIOUSLY know that galaxies are huge and that ALL the systems in the map right now are in the milky way. Not only that, but galaxies are THAT close together! They are far far far apart from each other. That is why the Agzarai use wormholes to get to our galaxy. All other forms of travel take far too long. Also, in between galaxies, there are very very little, if not absolutely none, systems. Systems are mostly in galaxies, not in between them.
To Rama and Rooster: About this whole anti-ions and blocking out disruptor beams thing; IONS are used to seal the sub-space tear in the disruptor beam, not anti-ions. Anti-ions might reduce the amount of damage a disruptor beam does a little, but ions work much better.
To Daedalus: Daedalus, you were entirely and completely wrong when you said that the Agzarai weren't making any attacks. They are making attacks 24 hours a day! They never stopped! They haven't made a lot of major really big attacks, but they have been making tons of little attacks and raids.
Oh, and expect a map update today.
One more thing, where is this trader alliance I heard about? What happened to the Artaian Empire? What happened to the Kenienati? Can I have the Agzarai kill off the Artaians?
-----------------
When Rooster is brought to Carnotaur, Carnotaur quickly forgives him and tells him to forget the whole thing (I still like Lonevoinian). But still tells him to ask either him, Scorcher, Intimidator, or someone else if he wants to use something before using it.
Then, Carnotaur shows Rooster a tactical map of the entire galaxy. "Rooster, we have a problem. Just two hours ago three Azdgari warships intercepted and destroyed an Agzarai Battlecruiser heading towards what used to be the core worlds, former Miranu space. It was cloaked, but it ran into an asteroid and was discovered. This is bad news. Ever since the beginning of this conflict, I've destroyed 91 cloaked ships near former Miranu space, lost 103 ships around there, and have gotten reports of ships in and near that space. I think the Agzarai are hiding a fleet near, or in, former Miranu space, and are preparing to attack my outposts near there. This may be bad. Unfortunately, I don't have enough ships to patrol that area of space. I need someone elses help. Can you help by sending a few more patrols into and around former Miranu space, Rooster?"
------------------
Meanwhile, at Agzarai high command...
"How many ships do we have ready for Operation Lightning?"
"9,000 ships in all."
"How many battleships and cruisers?"
"800 Battleships, 700 Battlecruisers, and 900 Cruisers, all positioned near their space."
"Do they know we are about to attack?"
"Not at all sir. They are completely oblivious."
"Will the interference hinder us?"
"Not at all. We will find it a usefull ally."
"Good. Ready the fleet. Prepare to attack. And make sure absolutely no one knows of this plan!"
"Yes sir."

I hate to be obnoxious, but slipstream technology came out in the original LBS, and at that time it used concentrated ions and the crystal's emissions to create a tear in subspace and form it into a corridor. I'm not asking you to change the disruptor, i just don't want misunderstandings of what does what.
CONTINUATION: Rooster: "Well Carno, it might just be a factor of technology, not manpower. For their cloak not to be noticed, it would most likely be a subspace cloak. Such as the one on the Pultaq that has allowed me to land on Xanu and even Azdgari before during wartime. This puts the ship into phase between spacial states, keeping the ship in normal space while it's visual attributes are in subspace. It's very complicated and very costly to implement on fighters, much less warships. I suggest altering a subspace transmitter, and creating a long range scanner that will detect such signatures in subspace. The only problem is an actual pilot will have to maintain the ship almost entirely stationery in subspace. What do you think?"
------------------ It is not fear that will destroy you, but the absence of it.
Nova, I am afraid I cannot help you take over querid. I am a neutral party and do not wish to declare war on the Agdzari. I suggest that you either remain neutral or help the Agdzari.
Carno, why are you telling me I am wrong. It is one of my characters that is wrong. ---------- "Daedalus, we just recieved a transmission from the Agdzari. They think that the Agzarai are assembling a fleet right on our borders."
"Hmm, that doesn't make much sense. The Agzari could just have a fleet worm hole in. There is no need to take time to assemble. I think that it is a set up to distract us. Tell Carno what I think. Also tell him the I will divert some patrols to the area just in case."
"Yes, sir."
------------------ ---------------------- Give them shell! give them solid shot! Damn them, give them anything!

Rats.
Nova6 is sitting somewhere when an ensign walks up to him,
"Sir, the Silver Fleet will not help us take over Qerid."
"Rats!"
"Do you wish to ask some one else to help us?"
"I would but I don't think anyone CAN help us!"
"Oh."
"Have the Azdgari given us any supplies yet?"
"Still no reply."
"Another rats!"
"Oh, I almost forgot, we have finished the Molecular Polleron Project*."
"Finally some good news! Upgrade all hand-guns immediately!"
"Right away sir!"
He runs off.
*The Rogue were researching something that makes their hand-guns better. This is how a upgraded Rogue hand-gun works: When the gun is fired, it shoots a ball of energy the disintegrates some ones molecular structure on contact.

Rooster: "Comm, open a channel to F-25." Comm: "Subspace channel open." Rooster: "Daedalus, as you may know the Azdgari and Corocians plan to assemble subspace scanners to pinpoint wormholes and subspace cloak fields. However, we lack the knowledge to disrupt the wormholes and we believe your people can help. I wouldn't ask, but the Agzarai are a threat to everyone and we must band together. I await your reply." Comm: "Channel closed."
Carnotaur then gives the order to send some supplies to the Rogue to help them. Carnotaur also agrees to Roosters plan.
To Daedalus: What is your space? What do you control? Only F-25? Please respond immediately.
--------------
Meanwhile, at the Operation Lightning assembly point...
The Agzarai fleet was finally completely assembled and ready for battle. Now they just had to get word from Admiral Tokishowa at Agzarai High Command for the order to strike...
---------------
Then, at the Operation Undercover assembly point...
"Sir, we have just recieved word from Agzarai Grand Intellegence; they believe the Azdgari and their allies are onto us."
"What do they suggest?"
"Move into Phase 2 Stealth Mode and be as careful as possible. Then, try to change position as much as possible to throw them off. However, until Admiral Rekanian figures out a new assembly point, we cannot move from this approximate position or the surrounding systems."
Then, in the Otid system, part of the Oasan Empire...
"Captain, we are detecting a strange ion energy emission."
"What is it? What's happening..."
Suddenly, twenty-four Agzarai Battlecruisers decloak and open fire on the few Oasan vessels in the system. Caught off guard, the Voinian vessels are quickly destroyed, and soon Lapen itself is being bombarded by the massive Agzarai fleet. Soon, the base at Lapen is destroyed, and the Agzarai fleet quickly recloaks before any more Oasan reinforcements can arrive...
Then, in Artaian space, in the Yity system...
A massive wormhole suddenly opens and a flood of Agzarai warships enter the system. The Artaian ships in the system are stunned, they have never seen the Agzarai, nor such massive vessels before. The pitiful Artaian defenses are quickly crushed by the onslaught of Agzarai warships. Within 14 hours, Yity is under Agzarai control, and Outpost 4d and Outpost 4a are under heavy attack.
"Sir, the Voinian colony on Lapen has been destroyed." Said a Lieutinet JG. "WHAT!?!?!?" I, Lonevoinian, screamed "I was going to try to not fight, but that just ticks me OFF. Assemble our fleets in Carrack. Make false sensor scans go to the Agzari. Have them show a large colony with no defenses." "Yes sir. What after that?" "I will tell you when the time it right."
A week later, in the Carrak system:
"Sir, a wormhole is opening. What do we do?" Said a Lieutinet Commander "Fire a Mesh device through it, and then move our ships through it." Said I, Lonevoinian. "Yes sir." A purple beam lances out at the wormhole. There are many large explotions, and then the G'st'ar'ryh'ht ships Mesh through. They come out in a small Agzarai system, only a small station and a few Battle Cruisers there. The Colony Cruisers dispach the Battle Cruisers quickly. "Good. Dock with the station, and off load marines." said I. "Yes sir." The force of over a hundred Colony Cruisers and the three Bubble transports docks with the station. Hundreds of thousands of marines come off the ships, quickly overwhelming the meger defenses provided by the station crew. After an hour, the station is in G'st'ar'ryh'ht hands. "Good. Have our technitions try to translate the language and instal the technology on our ships. Have the force take up a sphere around the station and watch for a counter attack." "Yes sir."
Back in G'st'ar'ryh'ht space a beacon transmits what has just happend to Carno, Rama, daledus, and rooster, and asks them to try to do the same if a wormhole opens up in their space. It also transmits the Mesh desings to the aformentioned people, if they don't already have them.

My objective is to live forever. So far so good.
Carno, I control all of the silverfleet space which is the Trader Alliance. The Silver Fleet is the protector of the Trader Alliance. The only place that the Silver Fleet actually owns is F-25. ----- Transmission open to Roostersw. <Roostersw, you will be provided with the technology. Report: Subspace Embedments Author: Arthur G. Pato Status: Top Secret Content: After months of testing and analysis of the Corocian Subspace Transversal Device, Model 134, my lab had discovered that it is very difficult if not impossible to plant and object like a long range sensor into subspace. Subspace is a flow. Without an ancor an object would drift away very quickly, it would be useless. However, we have discovered a way to creat an ancor, the ancor is ancored into real space. If a modifed slipstream device is placed between a lead and a copper disk and activated, the ions go to the copper disk and surround it leaving the lead disk empty. Although we have not tested it, the lead disk would theoretically stay in subspace while the copper disk was firmly ancored in realspace. Any kind of object could be attached to either disk. The ancor would require to be turned on at all times. This is why we have not tested it, we lack crystals. There is a distinct advantage to subspace. A deep space sensor could gather sensor reading from all the area within a subspace barrier. :End Content: <End transmission>
Rooster: "Open channel to F-25. Daedalus, we believed your people could also provide information about disrupting a subspace wormhole once located with the scanner. I will send a team of my scientists to your aid. Close channel." Rooster left the comm room and headed for Carnotaur's chambers. Carnotaur was examining his warscreen. Rooster: "Sir, if i may disturb you?" Carno: "Yes, of course." Rooster: "My scans indicated that your people and mine are prepared. We should reroute at once to begin the slipbarrier closure at Rizgarik."
Transmission: Lonevoinain, you fool, you have just given our enemies the designs to one of the most powerful weapons in the galaxy. Other than that, good job with the worm hole. I will send my fleet through, otherwise you won't last long against the Agzarai.
Action: The Omega Class Transport filled with two hundred Raman Cruisers meshes into the Agzarai system from Carrack. Rama takes a shuttle to the station and meets with Lonevoinian.
Rama: Lonevoinian, we have no where near enough ships to hold of the Agzarai after even a single attack. I have brought with me 10 Mesh Defense Arrays, the are upgraded with shields and armor. They are already being positioned around the system to aid in a battle. They can fire meshes much more rapidly than a normal ship because they do not have to power thrusters and life support systems. I have brought 200 cruisers equipped with quantum cannons. Keep the wormhole open to bring in supplies, I will have my people help you with the Agzarai tech although I don't think we will discover much in such a short while.
------------------ Belief in a cruel God makes a cruel man.
It will take a while but that wormhole will soon degrade. It can't stay open forever. I don't understand how you use the mesh as a weapon since the ship has to be set to a certain frequency to mesh it.
I await Carnotaur's approval before we close the barrier.
(This message has been edited by roostersw (edited 01-05-2001).)
Rooster, you have the go ahead to close off the barrier. However, it will not seal off any of my systems. The Milky Way is huge, and all of this map is well within its borders. The Ramans and all my systems will be sealed off with it.
Then, suddenly, the station that Lonevoinian and Rama are on, suddenly starts to disintigrate! Its on an auto-destruct! Rama and Lonevoinian quickly get to their ships and leave the station. Fortunately, all the Ramans and Lones people get off the station before it auto-implodes.
Then, a wormhole opens on the outskirts of the system and out of Ramas and Lonevoinians weapons range. Then, a massive fleet of 390 Agzarai battlecruisers (along with 210 support ships, like destroyers, frigates, fighters, etc.) enters the system through the wormhole and immediately begins to slaughter the Raman and Lonevoinian ships.
The whole thing was a trap.
-------------
To Rama and Lonevoinian: I did this because of one thing; You made it too easy. The Agzarai are all highly trained soldiers and they have excellent anti-personnel weapons and body armor. They also always keep at least 8-10 ships in a system at any time. And besides, Agzarai Destroyers, since they use a special quantum singularity drive system thingy, cannot be affected by the Mesh Device for some unknown reason. Not only that, but as soon as all those Agzarai ships were destroyed, the Igzaerah (the ones who make all these wormholes) would immediately close it off. However, I think I'll let you off on that and just make the Agzarai have a counter-attack.
And the Artaian systems Outpost 4d, Outpost 4a, and Tuina are now under Agzarai control. The system of Keniat is under heavy attack, and the Agzarai are conducting a seige and blockadae of Conteina, which will soon be under control.
Also, where exactly are the Trader Alliance?!? I can't make a map update unless I know where they are!
Over 150 Azdgari and Corocian vessels pull out of hyperspace at the black holes. Rooster: "Inertial dampeners online. Clippers pull near to the singularity and fire anti-ions!" The midsize Corocian vessels pull near to one of the black holes. From their emitters pour anti-ions. The black hole begins to weaken and flame begins to form within it. Carno: "It's starting, fire disruptors!" The Corocian clippers fought to get away from the black hole as the fearless Azdgari ships neared it. They began to power their disruptor beams....
The counterstrike catches the Ramans and Voinians by surprise but not the 10 defence arrays. The arrays immediately begin firing at the Agzarai, firing mesh after mesh (Carno, you can't just say that our weapon is ineffective especially since it has already been proven effective). The meshes hit multiple targets among the closely packed Agzarai ships (they just exited the worm hole). This gave the Ramans and Voinians time to get into formation before thae Agzarai came into ship firing range. The two fleets struck, quantum pulses and purple meshes from one side and a strange weapon from the other. Ships on both sides were torn apart, the fleets became very close and were on course to ram eachother. Rama ordered his fleet to stay on course and put all shields forward. The fleets collided with weapon still firing, each ship trying to blast a hole in the ships in front of them. From out of the shockwaves and explosions, one fleet made it out the other side. Although badly damaged, 100 Raman Cruisers and 50 Voinian colony battle ships survived along with the defence arrays. In the distance was the Omega Class Transport.
Message to Lonevoinian from rama: Lonevoinian, the wormhole has begun to deteriorate but we have a choice. We can convert the Omega Class Transport into a station and bring in all the resources we can before the hole closes, or we can retreat with what is left of the fleet. I leave the choice to you.
Here is a small map of the Trader Alliance. They are where the silverfleet was on the old one. (url="http://"http://homepage.mac.com/daedalus4/trspace.html")http://homepage.mac....s4/trspace.html(/url)
I assume you mean this is the trader republic's distribution area and not their space, as you gave that up and is now crucial Corocian territory. You can apply to me to get it back, i just wanted to make sure that was clear.
CONTINUATION: Carno: "Bring about the void!" Tens of disruptor beams blasted tears in the subspace within the black hole. Rooster: "Your 3rd squadron is too close, they'll be lost!" The Corocian ships and Azdgari defense were effectively flying toward the jump point. Carno: "Fire engines, pour ion supply into plasma injectors!" Officer: "They can't hear you, sir." The squadron then made a terrible mistake. Rooster: "Is that? No!!" Escape pods were released from the sides of the ship. The extremely light vessels shot into the black hole and burst apart. Carno: "No! 200 lives!" Rooster: "We have to go!" The remaining ships shot into hyperspace, following a brilliant explosion of the black hole. The shockwave hit the other singularity and the subspace tear spread. The space became translucent and shrieked with creation. It finished with a tint of green, and the Ramans were blocked by the slipbarrier. It was done. Carno: "They're Azdgari, they should have known!" Rooster: "They gave their lives to end the fighting. That's much more honorable than giving a life during the fight." The two fleets soared through hyperspace toward Azdgari, where they would focus their efforts upon the Agzarai.
Um, daedalus, your map is wrong, the Rogue own Zeldair not anybody else (They captured it).
Sorry roostersw, I thought that you had already given them back. I now officially apply for my territory. I guess I don't own zeldair anymore either.
(This message has been edited by daedalus (edited 01-05-2001).)
To Rama: No. Only Destroyers are not vulnerable to the Mesh Weapon. Other ships are. Live with it.
To Rama Again: Agzarai Heavy armor is 500 times stronger than Bronov plating. Agzarai ships are meant to have really heavy armor and are designed to be good at ramming. Not only that, but their ships are HUGE. Their destroyers are the size of Voinian cruisers, and their light cruisers are the size of Voinian dreadnaughts. If you tried to ram them, then you would loose sooooo bad.
----------------
And then the Agzarai, seeing they would need reinforcements against the persistant Rama, quickly called for reinforcements, which arrived instantly (wormholes provide instantaneous transport from one place to another). The Raman forces, outnumbered and outgunned by the much more massive and heavily armed Agzarai vessels, were slaughtered. Then, Rama and Lonevoinian were forced to leave.
I now say that the Agzarai counterstrike works, and that the system that Rama and Lonevoinian captured is now in Agzarai hands.
Also, what will happen to the Artaian Empire? The Agzarai outgun them. The Agzarai are more technilogically advanced. No one can control them. What will happen to them? Do I just make the Agzarai utterly annihilate them?
