Hi, I've been playing FH for a couple of weeks and haven't picked up any new, apparently-plot-related mission strings in a while.
I got the Tachyonic fighter, did a few things at Devore, reported to Earth, waited for the conclusion, received a message from Dr. Baxter that nothing could be done about the slave trade on New Venus...upgraded the tachyonic fighter with new weapons (the IMP launcher), blew up The Hawk's ship, invited him into my home...
Where to go from here?
I revisited Yeni Turkiye (sp?) to see if the woman had recovered from the plague - nothing appeared, other than the usual missions.
Is it complete? If not, where can I pick up the mission string again - Earth isn't offering me any new missions, nor New Sahara...
Any advice welcome - thanks

No wonder, if you visited Yeni. You have developed the dread plague and will get no further missions until you send $3000 to Martin or alternately , land at 1437 separate SPOBs and take a dose of castor oil at each landing

Note that glynnor said: "to see if the woman had recovered." "The woman" is Jasta Hela. The mission string continues in Femme Fatale.
As for finishing the plug. I believe the objectives are to:
Explore the pyramid on Tesken Alpha
End the war on Devore (You'll know when this happens)
Bring New Venus into the Democratic worlds (It's name will change to Freedom, I think. Correct me if I'm wrong)
Destroy the black hole
Track down Emile's murderer
I'm fairly certain that's all the main mission strings. When you've fininshed all of these, feel free to move on to FF.
PS: Kevin, close your UBB code. If you don't know how, here's an example: (abc)a... z(/abc) PPS: Why land at 1,437 spöbs while taking castor oil or pay Martin an obscene ammount of money (Although he does deserve it) when you could just abort the mission?

I agree with goo on the money part.
And as for finsihing the plug...

I found this topic in the hope of getting some general hints on picking up missions or getting "unstalled". But what I found instead was a laundry list of plot points- missions not started, conditions yet to occur, and close friends dying... after several looooong nights invested in FH, that sucks... HARD.
Maybe I am being unrealistic, but would it be possible to offer information like this in a more subtle way? Maybe less obvious "hints"? Or maybe email-only answers? I don't know... I should assume that moderators love the game as much/more as the rest of us...
Maybe I AM being unrealistic- given the name of the topic is what it is...
But I am REALLY bummed...
Thanks for nothin' - "goo"
I really can't understand Sleepless ' point. Yes, Goo was precise in his answer. But it doesn't appear as such a spoiler to me. He doesn't explain where to pick up the mission string, and doesn't put thenm in order. He doesn't mention the side missions as well. Do answer more precisely to glynnor, I would suggest to pick up a diplomatic mission for the 9 worlds, or to train trade or fighters pilots in the mean time. Check the bar and the mission hub everytime you land, you are likely to receive a message. And Jasta Hela did not suffer from the plague. I am not sure (I didn't play FH recently) but I think it's that lady archeologist that was captured and taken aboard a plague ship which she managed to control (sort of)

You are correct. Jasta Hela did not suffer from plague. You take her to the medical center because of her memory loss and other injuries. Sleepleess needs to get some sleep and back off a bit.
