I know this is probably an easy question but it is really annoying me.
You say "Search then Ask" Well I searched for a long time and I can't find out where you go to get information about where, when, Legal Status need, etc. for you to get missions. I am trying to start the Voinian mission string, but I don't know where. I have played the game for about 1 hour trying to find it, and looked for about 20 min on this web sight, but can't find a thing!! Things were a lot easier before they changed everything. Now when I look all I find are some discussion board strings, and no information!!! please help me.

You get it at pax station. Dont think you need any combat rating. Besides that if you've done the UE missions, you cant get it. I usualy start the UE missions and then take the voinian string, when i'm picking up that deserter at pax. That way you just leave the mission to kill the freighter, until you've completed the UE string.

AFAIK, there is no 'archive' of how to get each missions. The best way to find details like that is just opening the data files with Mission Control or ResEdit. Oh, and to get into the Voinians: shooting up some UE Destroyers helps. You need to be hated by the UE if you want the Voinians to love you, i think.

You have to have the Voinians mad at you to be able to join them...... it takes quite a few tries to get that mission. If you don't get it, just jump out, kill some Voinians, then jump back to Pax and try again.

The "Aid the Voinians" mission is available 50% of the time at Pax's bar, as long as your legal rating in the Dogovor system is clean, your combat rating is fair, and you haven't done the mission to rescue the defector the first time. ResEdit is wonderful.
