Hi,
I'm playing Frozen Heart. When the Message "The War is Over" appears in my mission computer, I read it (the message which tells me I can't go to Devore for the celebrations because I might lead Emile's nemesis there) then I try to leave the planet and my computer crashes - any ideas why? Has anyone else experienced this?
Thanks

Hmm, replying to my own message is suspiciously like talking to myself but....I've allotted more memory to EVO and it didn't crash after I did that, so problem solved...
That doesn't HAVE to be the cause of the crash not recurring though. It could have been a rather random crash. Did you ever try to do that mission again without changing anything?

Was there a quicktime movie after the mission???

The crash was repeatable and occurred every time after I had accepted "The War is Over" mission. It usually crashed when I clicked the Accept Mission button, then read the announcement, then on clicking "okay" the crash would occur every time.
I don't think there was a QT movie connected, since once I expanded the memory, and was able to proceed - no QT movie played.
Thanks both for your input...
Could you send me details of your system, configuration etc and how much memory before and after, please?
My email is martin.turner@unforgettable.com.
Thanks.

Well, my game will crash like that, but a quicktime movie screen pops up right before the crash, it doesn't show anything, but I reconize the shape....

As requested:
Using an iBook (tangerine!) with 96 MB of internal memory, virtual memory on allowing 1 extra MB. Original memory settings for EVO were as standard on installation ie.
Suggested 24 Mb Minimum 15 Mb Preferred 24 Mb (not sure about this one, because I changed it)
New config as above except the Preferred I changed to 30 Mb and I don't seem to have any more problems.
