I have an idea for a new manuverability outfit. It would be retrothrusters. I got the idea from a game called Maelstrom. It is like an astroids game for the Mac and one of the special outfits in that game is a retrothruster. All that outfit did is when you let off the forward key your ship would begin to slow down and stop. I thought this would be a good outfit. If anyone else had the same idea and mentioned it I did not mean to copy it because I did not do a search. If anyone has played Maelstrom before and remembers that outfit you comments here would be appreciated. Also, if you can put it into a plug your comments are also appreciated.

I don't know that there is a way to make an outfit that is always on when you're not pressing any buttons. But if there is, this would be pretty cool.

It is not possible in EV or EVO, and it probably won't work in EVN, either.

If you went inside the actual program you could change it. Does it really serve a point though? I mean can't you just turn around and slow down? An outfit that would be really cool and possible would be a fighter that had the 'ramming' action of Frozen Heart's asteroids. Imagine trying to kill a big ship when thousands of speedy little things are crashing into your ship. Might be something to try out?

Try playing maelstom and you will understand why it would be a good upgrade. It would be really good when you attack a ship that already being attacked by other ships. You could just direct towards a ship and slow down as you get close and not get in the line of fire. Also could the retrothruster be like a reverse afterburner. You could just apply it when you want to. If anyone has comments please reply.
What you can do (without changing the actual application) is make it be used only when you're pressing the correct button. You can't do an outfit that's always on. Of course, then the only way to use it would be to replace your regular afterburner, since outfits have special buttons that are decided by the game (in contrast to weapons).
