Hi, I recently disabled an Azdgari Warship, (which looked a lot like my Crescent Warship with a different color scheme) and took it over to use as my ship, leaving my maxed out Crescent Warship as an escort.
However, it doesn't seem to be as good an exchange as I thought. The AW has a fighter bay with six fighters (which is nice) but I don't use them - and I could use that space for other more useful items such as Dospect armor and the Miranu engine/thrust/RCS upgrades - is there any way of swapping my ship back i.e. having this new one as an escort and getting my original ship back as mine.
I've searched the files for any reference to this but can't find it. My only idea is to release my escort ship, immediately attack it, hopefully be able to disable it, and then attempt to recapture it - but it's a risky plan. It might kill me first and also the capture percentage was only about 25% I think.
So, any ideas?

I wouldn't release it and attack it, you'll only be capturing a standard CW, without all its upgrades you had. So if you want a crescent warship again you should buy one, that way you get to keep your other CW as a free escort.

...in summary: No. There is no easy way to transfer the flag among the ships of your fleet.
I also doubt whether your 'maxed out' CW which is now an escort is still enjoying the benefits of the things you outfitted it with. For example, if you outfitted a CW with blaze cannon and then made it an escort, would it still shoot red stuff at enemies? I might try this tonight, but I doubt the result will be good news for you.
If you've just bankrupted yourself, you'll need to choose whether to trade/raid/do missions and get some money together for a new CW (or whatever)... or fire up ACE and change your pilot file's cash setting. I wouldn't really call this cheating, since you'd only be buying back what you already had. Up to you, Captain.

No. Standard armament. Same thing for captured përs ships.

You want to buy a CW? What's your problem? There's a limitless supply of CW's north of Miranu space, ripe for the plucking and completely free. They even come with a wedding gift of several hundred thousand credits. For your convenience, they're marked with the word "Renegade".

Chamrin, it's only half a good idea. I think he should keep his escort and his Az., attack another CW and hold the escort just before the renegade is disabled, finish it off and board it. this way he would
