I really like the combination of strategy and combat in EVO (much like in my all-time favorite game - Starcraft/Brood War by Blizzard).
I've seen other Ambrosia games on their website - are any comparable with EVO and what makes them better/worse/different?
Thanks

Try Ares. I think you'll like it.

EVN.

EV (duh!) And wait until EVN comes out.

hmmmm.... well, try Ambrosia's Ares, the original EV, and/or Terminius if your computer can run it.

hmm... Spaceward Ho! is kinda like EVO... you don't control a ship, but you control an entire nation... you have to colonize planets, gather the ore, and build ships (Fighters, Satelites (for defense), Colonizers, Scoutships, etc, etc..)... actually, it's nothing like EVO. The only connection is the "Space" aspect to it. Nonetheless, it's pretty fun.
Let's see..... I believe the name of another game is "Terminal Velocity"... from what I remember, it's very much like EVO... I think I might have the name wrong tho....
If you like Starcraft, you should take a look at Age of Empires........ if you like Cythera (another Ambrosia game), I'd suggest taking a look at Realmz or Exile (which kinda sucks, but I mention it cuz I know a lot of people who like it...)

As I recall, there is/was a flight simulator for the Mac called Terminal Velocity that came out within a few months of EV 1.0.0
Spaceward Ho! is a really cool game. I first played it on an LC III years ago and I should probably find it again.
Just my thoughts.
