I have completed the black whole missions and am now working on the diplomatic missions.I finish the one where you escort a mother and daughter and then return to earth. From looknig at the plug in EV Edit it seems that the next mission will show up on any non-aligned planet. But it hasnt. Can someone tell me how to get the next mission.

The black hole is the final mission.
You're probably cleaning up on some of the side strings.
BTW, looking at the missions in EV-Edit is likely to mess them up. If you must peek (strong disapproval!) then use Mission Edit or Res Edit.
