I need to pick your brains. I have tried to download 4th Reich on Netscape Comm 4.5 and all I get is pages long of "MĄ$Íx ş,jÝăVˇrrëé-4_+sŻń-1>dWb2WlCÖÝŞŻîaCf#m§Í4(qŠĽđ)nÓě}ććlmŇĄ˘`ÇCiĹ÷*=ˇQ}sś 1^PL8ąGóőýďúű-ĐLŽóÝŤýOŇeýĐqtČí{ÝŤZxßh(ąBSq÷Y9|fŻŐRĹ ý#qŹyp '| d)ŃŹĐ2UsŘĄĂ5Eëý kh)a3DAŽýę5x:G2ôŞř{§)|ŕMńő1+^ĐÉĺ-s5Ă4đ|Ń}A" crap. When I try with Explorer, it tells me "Can't build data connection: Connection refused." Can anyone tell me what to with either browser to download the file
Special note to Flat and the "Search page" Knights: I had a close look at that and didn't find any answer Cheers

heh. We're gaining fame!
Anyway, click and hold on the download link. A menu will pop up. Select "save this link as" If you have a weird mouse, you can right-click on the link and the same menu will pop up.
Enjoy.

Thanks for the prompt reply... I'll try it immediately
Well... I tried to save it both as TEXT and as SOURCE (the 2 only options I had. It doesn't make any (visible) difference : in both instances the saved file looks like a netscape page. It wont decompress when dble clicked (which it should as a .sea) and nothing happens when you drag and drop it on Stuffit Expander. Any suggestion?
neh.... and nothing happens when you open Stuffit, select "unstuff" in the menu, and then select the document?
What file are you trying to download? oh wait... 4th Reich...
Try getting a new version of Netscape, perhaps? I dunno. Want me to try to email you a copy of the plug?
Actually, I'm getting the same problem as you when I try to download it just by clicking... I'll fiddle with it a bit....
neh. I think you're out of luck. Something is messed up with that file. Contact Andrew, or someone....
Thank you very much for having a look. Netscape 4.5 is the latest available (6.0 was just released and is fine with os 8.6 but problems are reported with OS 9. I suppose You've guessed which system I am running ) If you solve it in a normal way, I suppose the recipe could work for me. Else (i.e. you have to know what you're doing if you don't want to start WW3 as you click on download) I would very much appreciate if you could e-mail it to me, if it's not too big for you.
Netscape Communicator 4.7 is the latest... and I must say, Netscape 6 really blows :frown: It's slow, and there's just too much colorful crap all around it :frown:
Ooops... not fast enough
Thanks a lot for your time, Flat. I wouldn't disturb El Presidente for that but maybe a moderator has an idea...
I might know what's wrong with it..... the file was never stuffed, the Self-Excracting-thingamajig (.sea) (does A stand for Archive?) is just up there for direct download. Netscape doesn't recognize that as a downloadable file, and gives you a big old page of data.
That's the best my internet-mind can come up with
My best knowledge of Compact Pro and Zip it will allow me to tell you that .sea does stand for Self Extracting Archive. But considering the plug claims more thant 4000 downloads, something tells me there's got to be a way...

While you're at it: I had the same problem with the F-25 plugin file off this website - is there any other link one could get it from, or any way of dealing with that file?
------------------
I have the f-25 plug... I can email it to you if you put up an address....

Oh ****. Don't get all heated up. Nothing wrong with emailing you, I just don't want my address floating around in public places, that's all.
